He said after Beterbeiv dusted him that he was thinking about packing it in, and we're coming up on a 14 months now - has he packed it up anyone heard?

His brother was shot dead a few months ago.

I don't think his head has been in the game for a while. He has a successful tree cutting business and he's busy with that all year around.

He never stuck me as a hungry fighter. He did well because of his natural God given power but he seems hard to teach.

Him Vs Gvozdyk might be a fun fight to watch.

A fight with Yarde has been rumored lately, but no deal has been reached so far.

Which suits him at this point. He has put in his dues and owes nothing to the sport.

He’s more of a high level gatekeeper at this point than anything else, so finding a matchup that satisfies his financial demands may be difficult.

Always brings it tho and if he retires, all the best.

In addition to the shooting, it must have been kind of shitty when he fought Beterbiev and his hometown crowd was all against him.

He's made decent money. Probably don't need to fight much. He beat the all time great bernard Hopkins

True, him vs Yarde would be a good one & of course a Gvozdyk fight.

Nah man they were all rooting for him. It was 99% Union Workers from New York

They were just silent when Joe got lit up at the end of the first round and then got obliterated 3 minutes later.

He's a nice guy, but I wonder how focused he'd be in another fight. Hate to see him get beaten up. Maybe he should take on a C- fighter before getting back in the ring with a ranked opponent.
