Exactly that. It doesn't seem likely but if they came out and said Benn not being top 40 ranked in any sanctioning body means he cannot be charged for reason A,B and C or something similar it really wouldn't surprise me.
Please explain how Eddie Hearn changing his dreadful behaviour on this matter might have helped Conor Benn clear his name. It wasn't Hearn who tore his licence up in front of the BBBofC.
Breaking .. just seen a quote from Conor .... "The Independent Panel can do one .. ". He is now applying for the case to be decided by his accountant and Eddie Hearn.
This is the reason we need a governing body over the whole sport. He needs to be given a bollocking for this, it’s shocking behaviour.
His insta story is of him hitting the heavy bag (Not Kalle Style), and him on the scales. If that means anything
Putting aside my absolute disdain for that cheating little toerag runt Con Bent, the handling of this by the BBBofC and UKAD has been nothing short of shambolic. They deserve being dragged over the coals too for how long this is taking to write up a fackin decision along with everything else that's been dragged out over many many months. The board is run by a bunch of dinosaurs who probably don't even set foot into a boxing gym. If they do, it's only for the opening of a new toilet or something, in the local ABC, where they cut some ribbon, take a few pics for their out of date Microsoft Frontpage website, and then fack off back home. They're probably so out of touch with fighters nowadays, and what goes on in gyms. Couple that with the some of the disgraceful British refereeing decisions you see nowadays, it makes you think, what do they fackin do. Yes we know they increased health and safety by putting an ambulance in the arena on fight night. Heard all of that. Anything else worthwhile that these leeches do?
In all likelihood they've been told to keep their mouths firmly shut by their legal advisors. It's been clear that one of team Benn's weapons has to every so often mention how financially damaging this has been, presumably telling the board that the meter is running and if they do come out on the wrong side of a decision they face ruin.
Which I find infuriating. Someone that has been caught breaking the rules, should not be able to threaten those that actually enforce said rules. Benn is the most unlikable unbearable persona currently in boxing, I'm still hoping he'll get banned, come back in a couple of years, and get absolutely cleaned out by a comeback opponent, then disappear forever
Yes I concur. The reaction team Benn has escalated this far beyond any previous test failure. It's not as if this is a new scenario. Fury hid behind a brief and bullied the board, but even his team managed to keep a sufficiently low profile to avoid stirring up this kind of reaction. As it is Benn, and by extension his enablers aka advisors, promoter and broadcast partner have basically assaulted the sports integrity, even disputing the concept of oversight or rules to protect those competing in a potentially lethal environment. I despise them for what they've done to British boxing.
On that Bill Tyson would demand 110% of the purse v Not sure Dan would be able to sort it out anymore.
