Zhan Kossobutskiy vs Efe Ajagba on Anderson-Rudenko card

Not saying it isn't a duck but that would be a really quick turnaround after a tough fight. Hopefully he will fight the winner(Koss)but I think his team might be apprehensive after the Martin performance.

 

Ajagba vs Kossobutskiy is legit a better muchtup than Anderson vs Rudenko even tho ajagba sucks

Ajagba's beaten Demirezen, Rice and Shaw (all by UD10) while losing to Sanchez by UD10, so he's a good measuring stick for Kossobutskiy.

 

Ducking

 

Rudenko is not a bum, but he is old and faded. Six or seven years ago, he would have been a decent, durable opponent for an up-and-comer like Anderson, but not now.

If the judges and referee are fair, Kossobutskiy should be able to defeat Ajagba. Ajagba is strong and durable but somewhat stiff and robotic. But Ajagba is a Top Rank promoted boxer, and so the officials will no doubt favor him.

 

It's understandable that on such a short turnaround they'd rather take an easier fight first, especially given Anderson's problems against Martin. Looks to me like the winners would meet end of year perhaps, which would awesome.

 

Great fight, should be the main card of the night.

 

I don't see why some consider Franklin all that good. What's his best win? Forrest 4 years ago or Rydell Booker.
His claim to fame is going the distance with a sluggish looking Whyte and a timid Joshua.
He's gained a lot of traction with a weak resume and back to back losses.

Its a pity Efi Ajagba couldn't have trained with the late great Curtis Cokes. Look what he did with Ike Ibeabuchi he transformed him from a crude brawler to a the complete boxer puncher. One of boxings tragedies was Ike couldn't hold it together, though personally I do not believe he really was given the chance to

 

Great news for Jalolov. TR should be able to keep him busy. I wonder how Torrez feels about this.

 

Hope they get him at least a nice opponent. That full card is starting to look really good for the current standards.

 

Jalolov vs. Makhmudov would be a brutal fight...

 

He has a great chin and is technically sound. He is now training full-time and believes he can compete at the top level after arguably beating Whyte and taking Joshua the distance.
