3 losses in a row

    This is a pretty silly question - one that shows I have too much time on my hands today - but I was looking at this journeyman/contender that passed away recently named Saul Montana, a bantamweight from the '70s. He fought quite the array of top-notchers out there during his day - a real throwback to one of these fighters who fought everybody. Anyways, I noticed one point of his career he lost 3 in a row to Alexis Arguello, Bazooka Limon and Salvador Sanchez. And I started thinking of how often that may have happened - losing 3 in a row to world champs. Offhand, I couldn't think of any, but I'm sure with some of the great journeymen through the years that this couldn't be an anomaly. So there's the question. Do you have any more that lost 3 in a row to 3 different world champions? Not a win thrown in or a rematch with the same fighter, but 3 losses in a row to 3 different world champs.

    First guy to come to mind is a current fighter Sergiy Derevyenchenko. Has 3 losses against 3 champs such as GGG, Charlo, and Adames.

    Uh, that's what I was looking for. I found many examples of a boxer having 3 consecutive defeats against 2 champions (Andrew Golota for example). However, I did not find what you are looking for, and the closest thing I found was John Ruiz.
    John Ruiz lost to James Toney, but Toney tested positive for a banned substance, so the decision was changed to NC-ND.
    After that, Ruiz lost to Nikolai Valuev, and after that he lost to Ruslan Chagaev.

    June to September 1924, Johnny Dundee lost 3 x fights in a row, to:

    1) Future LW world champion Sammy Mandell
    2) Steve "Kid" Sullivan for the SFW world title
    3) Former SFW world champion Jack Bernstein

    Everett "Bigfoot" Martin had 2 separate runs of 4 consecutive losses against world champs:

    Francesco Damiani
    Bonecrusher Smith
    Michael Moorer
    Riddick Bowe

    Tony Tucker
    Larry Holmes
    Herbie Hide
    Tony Tubbs

    Between Bowe and Tucker he had one fight - a points win against Tim Witherspoon. Without that fight, he would have an unbeatable streak of 8 defeats in a row against world champions!

    Bukkake, I found this shortly after I posted the first one, but didn't want to hog this thread. I thought to myself, I wonder if anyone else is going to find this one. I will say this, I found it after going through a number of good journeyman (Angel Garcia, Johnny Risko, LC Morgan, Baby Vasquez, Chucho Garcia) first. But this has got to be the Holy Grail of the question, and full credit to you for finding it. The level Bigfoot was fighting at was amazing.

    Flyweight Alfonso Lopez, himself an undefeated world champion at one point, had this happen to him twice.

    In 1977-78 he lost an attempt to get his title back from Guty Espadas, got knocked out by future light fly champ Amado Ursua, and lost on points to future flyweight champ Prudencio Cardona.

    In 1981-82 he lost to three consecutive undefeated fighters who held world titles at some point - Hwan-jin Kim (this a light flyweight title challenge), Jung-koo Chang, and Sugar Baby Rojas.

    If Shrimpy Clarke had managed to eke out a win in his world title fight with Sot Chitalada, that would have made another three consecutive defeats against world champions for Lopez. He ended his career with losses to German Torres, Greg Richardson, and Clarke.

    Of his eighteen career losses, fourteen were to boxers who either were or would end up world champions.

    Five years after he, himself, was a world champion, Juan Polo Perez lost to five consecutive champions in a 10 month period. Perez lost to Manuel Medina, Lehlo Ledwaba, Naseem Hamed, Jimmi Bredahl and Julian Lorcy.

    Frankie Crawford ended his career in deep waters. He lost to Bobby Chacon, Eder Jofre and Jose Luis Ramirez.
