What about Estrada? He's thrown some meathooks in there.

But yeah, it is Inoue. He's awful. What an awful man.

You know who's going to have a wicked body attack when he turns pro, Curmel Moton.

    Semi-final draft for the poll:
    1. Naoya Inoue
    2. Saúl Álvarez
    3. Nonito Donaire
    4. Ryan García
    5. Gennady Golovkin
    6. Kazuto Ioka
    7. Tim Tszyu
    8. Murat Gassiev
    9. José Carlos Ramírez
    10. Juan Francisco Estrada
That's as many options as will fit. I could, alternately, remove at least one name and leave a slot free as "other/write-in". What think we, brain trust?

Munguia warrants mention. As does Benevidez.

Xenforo limitations make it zero-sum. Whom do you propose I cut to buy them passage?

I personally would be most inclined to remove Tszyu, and/or maybe Golovkin since this is 2023 and not 2015. But am open to any persuasive arguments for anything really.

Inoue staying is the only inflexibility.

Yeah Garcia couldn't bring himself to get up after it. Unless that's not the technical term for that punch from a southpaw?

Inoue is the only correct answer.

Devastatingly effective left hand on the body, far more so than it looked in real-time...but I wouldn't class it a "hook", no. Southpaws throw a right hook, turned over as they pivot on the lead (right) foot just the same way orthodox fighters do in mirror image.

Southpaws can throw looping lefts, which can colloquially be called hooks I guess, but this one that stopped Kingry is a weird shot. Not quite straight, but also wouldn't call it looping.

Inoue's delivery system is the best. And his power p4p is very impressive. Yet he's a small, wee man. Granted he fights other tiny men who cannot absorb the blows as well as larger men. Power and chin both improve in the higher weights, but the gains in power outpace the gains in punch resistance. This cannot be healthy at all for anybody to take. Look at this shot. Nope.

That shot had all the attributes of a tight hook for me. Not saying I'm right but within my knowledge of what a hook is... That was a mean hook. Tank isn't the most versatile of boxers so certain shots of his standout.
