Who should get the sky sports promoter job when Ben Shalom gets sacked?

Huge matchroom announcement coming on monday I've been told

 

There is zero to indicate Shalom is in any trouble. Sky bosses are not idiots - Boxxer are still a new company and things will get better. They have also been very unlucky with fights falling through due to injuries etc.

They do need to nail the Eubank - Smith PPV and Buatsi - Azzez cards. They also need to capitalise on this good cruiserweight situation they have created.

Think Shalom would do a lot better under his wing.

 

Surprised they’ve never just put him in charge full stop as the promoter.

 

Boxxer has been exposed to a great deal of sabotage and dirty tricks.

Sky Sports controls and makes the decisive decisions in relation to Boxxer's events. Why would they have an interest in replacing Boxxer ?

 

You've admitted in previous posts that you work for Queensbury, So maybe you're just happy Franks rival at sky is making such a terrible job of it!!

(You'd think with the budget and exposure Sky have they'd be number 1, but they are number 3 right now because of Shaloms naivety/ inexperience)

 

Last year they had a run of Eubank v Williams, Khan v Brook and Taylor v Catterall within the space of 3 weeks and I thought hang on, they could be good here. Boxxer haven’t been helped by a few postponements but they’ve been crap since. Wasted their budget on Olympians and women rather than the here and now.

I’d put Queensberry number 1 in the UK right now, Matchroom 2 and Boxxer 3 but in all honestly Boxxer are no better than Wasserman at the minute.

Ideally Warren would have got the Sky job when Hearn left. Has his critics but he knows what he’s doing and has a decent stable. With the increased exposure and budget that Sky would bring and Warren’s partnership with Top Rank (who’d also just signed a deal with Sky) he could have got miles in front in the UK.

 

The Okolie / Buatsi situations were quite well publicised. What else have they had?

 

Exactly. Boxxer might be the name on the posters, but it’s Sky calling the shots. They’re not gonna risk Shalom buggering off and leaving them like Hearn did.
