It’s just a trainer making half ass comments. The article is very poorly written. They will observe the wrapping and sign off and the fight will go on as planned.

Better to raise this now than the night of the fight.

No he didn't he told a blatant lie about plaster blocks which led to an innocent man , Antonio Margarito, having his good name tarnished & his career ruined . That was Nazim Richardsons thing to complain about opponents wraps this time the CSAC let it go too far & together they ruined an innocent mans career

So, the objection is that tape was applied directly on to Inoue's skin before gauze was applied, then more tape on top of the gauze. Is that allowed in Japan? Where else is that allowed?

What's the accepted way to wrap hands :

    a) gauze applied to skin, then tape, then more gauze
    b) tape applied to skin, then gauze, then more tape

Tbf, it just seems to be the trainer that looks like a paranoid nut. Fulton doesn’t seem like he cares or believes anything coming out of the guy’s mouth.

I just went by the comment in the twitter message that said: “This type of pre-taping and padding wouldn’t be allowed in many regions/countries”.

That to me implies they might be wrapping hands differently in Japan. I am not sure. But IF that is the way they wrap hands in Japan…we’ll they fighting in Japan. Then they fight by Japanese rules.

Well it's going to be upto Fultons team to sit there and watch the entire wrapping before the fight, and express any concerns if need be because once their written off on its fair game. In my personal opinion, putting tape directly on the skin first with no layer of gauze is a nono.

Coaches and trainers that try to play mind games are lame. They don’t have enough confidence in their fighter to get the job done so they have to make up random stuff. Sad thing is, it always puts a stain on the fighter forever. Now we have morons who think Manny was cheating with peds for several years. Even in this thread a guy said Margarito was using plaster of Paris. Now we will see Inoue painted as a cheater and will be even more so by some fans if he wins. Fury’s glove, etc etc. Just lame.

Of course the pillow punching Fulton throws a last minute spanner in the works as he benefits if they fight with 60oz pillow gloves. If he ducks at the last minute just strip him and let Inoue fight the next best title holder.

There were rumors flying around that MVC was one of the mods posting silly stuff to get more action on the board. I cant see any of our mods doing that tho can you ?

Don't think Fulton is scared but it's definitely a low ball move to get people thinking wrong about someone's character, no good.

True & that's why Winnings are commonly used for sparring & mitt work, etc for a lot of Boxers.
