Wouldn't look good for Haney or Lopez if Kambosos lost to Hughes.. this is the grift that is boxing , there is no integrity in the sport it's about money. Kambosos can fill the resumes of the weight grifting LW queens etc.. cos he beat Lopez... Hughes , an unknown assuming little British fella with no push behind him can't. They know the ozzie is a one hit wonder & actually quite beatable but he has a big mouth & that name on his resume so can use him to build their latest wannabe FMJs... LW & boxing as a whole is a fixed game. Stop wasting your money on it.
This is where the SPORT falls over , at the end of the day it's the fighters gambling with their health NOT the sport , Hughes needed that win on his record to advance his potential earnings in the sport of PRIZE FIGHTING he didn't train away from his family to get robbed to enhance the sport .
Exactly, Mate. Some bellends can't see the wood for the trees. Hopefully, and I'm sure it will, Hughe's performance and robbery was more than enough to further his career prospects longer term. Personally, how the poor sod and his team are feeling right about now is another thing though.
I've made the same mistake in other polls. But who are the three idiots who voted for Kambosos? Did they make a mistake as well? Their names should be made public!
I'm not too confident of things being seen like that unfortunately Arch , EVERYONE and his dog knows he won that fight and I'd say 99% of boxing fans would rather see him advance and make a deceny payday than George make another one but we all know those fellers that robbed him this morning will be putting road blocks in place in front of him because now the poor bugger is in the " who needs that shut " club , so it will be George who advances as he's the bigger name . Gutted for Maxie like mate .
FFS... Austin I can understand as his boxing knowkedge is tenuous at best. The other two probably think "Hughes was running all night" which I've seen posted in another site.
I think I had it a bit closer than some others, but I see no path to victory Kambosos at all, and neither did anyone else on any of the locations I've visitied. Robbery of the Year for sure, if only because of the universal incredulity it's inspired.
The problem was it was such a **** fight, Kambosos was a 1/10 and Hughes was maybe a 4/10. Hughes landed the cleaner work....counter punched and moved about well, Kambosos barely landed any clean power shots.... Didn't score it round for round but Hughes won that by 3-4 rounds.
My question is, why was this fight even on in prime time in the US? Can't they do better than this? I've seen enough of Kambosos and the other guy was just a scrub. Come on man
After Haney moves to 140 pounds they'll be a scramble to get his belts. I believe the reason he was protected by the corrupt powers that be was they thought they could make more money with Kambosos when he's crucified by a better fighter for a belt.
