Really strange contrast. He's 30, but looks like a 17 year old twink. And has a ridiculously manly in-ring boxing style.

    I think Mayweather with
    1) his dull, safety-first, very cautious, run and pitty-pat style
    2) his refusal to fight anywhere but Las Vegas so he could have personal referees like Cortez, and dodgy judges like the ones in Mayweather-Castillo I and Mayweather-Maidana I,
    3) his cautious matchmaking, avoiding boxers like De La Hoya and Pacquaio until after they were shop-worn from KO losses, and
    4) his behavior outside the ring like beating up the mother of his children,

that plus the unwarranted huge amount of media attention he received reduced the popularity of boxing in the US.

Inoue, in contrast, is a fighter that will increase the popularity of boxing. He's someone we will want to watch again. He's someone worth watching.

If they were the same size, Inoue would KO Floyd.

Cut the BS. Mayweather had been trying to fight De La Hoya for the longest. After Mayweather became a superstar in boxing, after beating Gatti. He finally got a shot at De La Hoya. The fight with Pac could have happened 5 years earlier, but Pac didn't want to do the drug test. Maybe you are new to boxing, but all the boxing stars and big fights are in Vegas!

Clearly most of the people on here never seen or wasn't watching boxing when Mayweather was Pretty Boy Floyd. They only know and speak of Money Mayweather. Two totally different Mayweather. Pretty Boy Floyd was very offensive minded and exciting, while Money Mayweather was very defensive.

    I apologize.

I forgot all about that thread. I'm getting old as Methuselah and sometimes I'm forgetful.
Floyd was very carefully matched in his early career, fighting smaller guys who were easy to KO like little Jesus Chavez.

Floyd would win on points. Inoue is a special fighter, but at his core, he wants to bring the action. He wants the highlight.

Floyd doesn't care about any of that shyt.

Floyd would play on that and stay defensive early and potshot Inoue, frustrating him. Inoue would eventually get careless and get hurt badly with looping rights hands.

130lb Floyd could even stop him. Terrible stylistic matchup for Inoue.

Hmm...strange, why specify 30 then go on to explain that he was always cautious and safety first considering his LAST ten fights? We can see Inoue's courage by fighting better fighters at higher weights. I want Inoue/Canelo next. That will decide my vote if we get that. I'll reserve judgment until then.
