Usyk is one of the smartest fighters around, sooner he will rage on the eye shattered by Joyce with his jabs later he will try to destroy the other eye. TKO in the middle or around. This could be one of his best strategies. Thoughts?
It all depends on how Dubois will start. I think pressure will affect Usyks gameplan and maybe we will see other result Usyk will move and target the body from the start. That's what I'm thinking.
I believe that Usyk is smart and ready for anything and even that Dubois could press him, Dubois has to go for the knockout because Usyk will outclass him on points...
I predict at least another eye socket broken for "Robo-Clubber Lang" Dubois by Usyks hammering hooks. Duboius has a poor defense and hes easy to hit from any angle by Usyk. After Dubois Usyk will be free by federations to choose to face Wilder or Ruiz or he will continue to fight all the mandatories that federations will put in front of.
Usyk is more likely to damage his right eye. I don't exclude it, after all, it's boxing, but I don't think it will happen as he doesn't possess the power. Dubois took heavy strikes to the head, one Usyk can't deliver and was still leading on two of the scorecards. It might turn out that Dubois is faster than AJ. Not necessarily too fast in general, but the speed was one of the main problems of Joshua losing against Usyk, of course, being technically inferior as well, but he had some good things done, they were just too slow and didn't land.
I will be gobsmacked if this doesn't go the way of the bellew fight with dubois punching air all night.
Those two score cards were a Franky Warren special. It's unlikely Dubois will get such favours in Poland. Maybe my memory is failing me, but I recall Bellew doing unexpectedly well in the early stages of the fight
Bellew was doing fine whilst Usyk slowly applied pressure even losing rounds KNOWING Bellew would gas and he'd bury him. Dubious is different he'll box rings around him but be cautious all night, It's down to Dubiois whether he tries to go out of his shield or try to last the distance.
Usyk just needs to fight his normal fight. He'll befuddle Dubois and that latter will tire, making it a fairly easy win. *However*, this assumes that Usyk has not gotten old overnight and that's a real risk. He might be able to stay in the pocket and outslug Dubois based on overall skill, but at that point he's in real danger.
