I don't see people talk about this fight a lot. not in the gym, not on Youtube/twitter/instagram and not here. Why ? Bad promotion ? or people are not that interested ?
In my underpants Only fights that generate hype with fans are rubbish or heavyweight fights. Yet come Saturday night the only thing the camera's will focus on are irrelevant rappers and "celebrities" who pretend they care about boxing.
Neither guy is a big personality. I'm disappointed, tho. Figured they'd try at least a little harder. Starting to think 400k is the high end for PPV buys.

When you marinate you have to build your profile and public interest at the same time, not just stay stagnant and descend into irrelevance, which is what these guys have done
It takes fights to build interest, not just talk. Mayweather and Pacquiao may have fought five years too late but they were always fighting and stayed in the spotlight. We are hardcores so for us this fight was still something to think about. It takes casuals to make a truly successful PPV and they have barely heard about Bud or Spence since the pandemic.
It really is sad, but you have to put blame on both fighters for this, they made their own bed. There are 3 casinos around me that always show boxing PPV fights. Not a single one is showing this and instead showing UFC. Sad.
I'm going to a fight party for it. In fact I got invited to 3 fight parties. The hype is here atleast where I live.
