Speaking in Sydney on Wednesday night, Tszyu was asked if he had an update on his next move.

“There’s something locked in, I ain’t saying nothing yet,” Tszyu said.

    “That’s why I’m training.”

Asked if Mendoza, who knocked out Sebastian Fundora to claim the interim title with the World Boxing Council was the opponent, Tszyu talked himself into a bit of a bind.

“Could be. We got something locked in. I’m not saying anything yet but it could be Mendoza, it could be - who else is there?” he said, seemingly forgetting any other potential challengers in the division.

It’s good that he’s keeping busy and taking on all comers. That’s what fighters should be doing.

Mendoza will KO him, this is a terrible "stay busy" banana peel for him.

But if he wins i think he should be called number 1 in the division. I have a feeling that this will end up being for a world title. Ive heard Madrimov vs Metcalf is supposed to be a world title fight too.

I like Tims chances against anyone at 154 now that Charlo is unavailable. Tim does not back down from fights. He's seemingly always looking for an opponent. A rarity these days in the sport.

It's a great fight. Unification fights aren't stay busy fights.

It really is refreshing to see. If he keeps this up I will be following his career with great interest.

Surely they can't let Charlo keep the belt after he held the division hostage for a year and then ran scared..

So really this might be a first defense of his legit title against another minor titilist.

Not really a stay busy fight. Just Tim beginning the clean out.

I think the issue with Timmy is he picked up boxing too late. He'll be a decent champ but he doesn't have the IT factor. He doesn't have freak athleticism like an Inoue, Usyk, Loma, Crawford, Spence, etc.
