Because a falling oak tree creates much more noise than a bonsai tree that splits in two

What LSD? They make us drugs tests continuously where I work.

The truth is an underdog like Ruiz who tears down a Bodybuilder like Joshua is an unforgettable spectacle that lasts forever in people minds. The same Usyk who outclasses him two times, or Wilder destroyed by Fury two times, or Canelo schooled by Bivol, etc.

Most of today LWs fights are boring. Stop.

What's bananas is that Inoue vs. Davis seems a billion times more competitive than Benavidez vs. Davis would.

Only beef I have with this thread is he clearly isn’t as tall as 1.65m

…..1.65? Which is at least an inch taller than Inoue really is

Nah never mind me, it’s just a petty bugbear of mine that the vast majority of ‘official’ boxer heights are more like ‘tinder profile heights’ and it always gives me a weird dissonance when I see you and CST80 treat them as gospel in otherwise meticulous profiles.

I didn't come up with "The 1.65m Godzilla"; that was La Grada Sports.

Also, the days when tale-of-tape measurements on BoxRec were chronically incorrect have largely gone by the wayside, I think. Especially for a fighter as high profile as Inoue - were 5'5" wrong, somebody would have complained by now and @PinoyProdigy or another editor would have checked against primary sources and fixed it (right PP?) . I know they used to be pretty dicey, but Inoue has been listed at that height for too long now I think for it to not have been addressed. Plus, if we're accepting that Fulton is 5′ 6½″, an inch and a half less for Inoue doesn't strike me as being really off.

On what basis would you assume any listed height is correct though? There’s no official measuring involved, they just give any height they want. It’s pretty much a human norm to exaggerate our height by an inch or two and boxing is no different.

I think it's generally agreed that outside heavyweights, most fighters don't fudge their height more than half an inch, an inch tops. Any more and it'd be way too easy to call out as obvious bs.

5'4" just means he's 163, not 165cm. Near enough tbh.
