Big right hand from Moorcroft which hurts James. Moorcroft follows it with a left hand and finally manages to close the distance. James then responds with a straight one-two with a minute left of the round. Moorcroft gets the better of the inside action and James looks vulnerable.

 

I wasn't expecting any toe to toe from James there.

James looks extremely tired now and doesn’t throw much. Moorcroft wins the round for me but it’s too little too late. Good performance from James. Based on this I think he beats Owen Cooper if they fought next.

 

Strong finishing round from James. He must have felt very comfortable in the 9th just to fight moorcrofts fight for a while.

Next up is Moses Itauma against Kevin Nicolas Espindola (7-7) in a 6-rounder. Espindola has been taken the distance by Dychko and Dacres. His only stoppage defeat has been to Fraser Clarke last time out where he came in horrendous shape.

I think Itauma will win by stoppage. Espindola weighed in at 290+ lbs, compared to 255 against Dychko and 282 against Clarke.

 

Plus Moses is only bloody 18!

Good matchmaking to get Itauma in with someone who could last the distance like his last opponent. I like the bodywork from Itauma. He isn’t throwing much, maybe because he’s worried about tiring?

 

You get the feeling , so far, that Moses could possibly blast Espindola outta there as and when.

He's not letting his 18yro cajones take over and rule his head so far.
