Bud's Check Jab

I have only heard of a check hook. Check hook is hooking the opponent when they are coming in and then stepping around in one swift move.

 

Is the check jab similar to the check hook?

A southpaw is a nightmare for an orthodox fighter because they are not used to fight southpaws and a fight is completely different than an orthodox vs orthodox fight.

But a southpaw is a nightmare for a southpaw fighter for the same reason. They cant fight as they usually do. And that's the reason why Crawford fought the whole fight as southpaw, transforming the fight in a mirror of an orthodox vs orthodox fight. In an orthodox vs orthodox fight jab is God (not like this in a southpaw vs orthodox fight), and Crawford proved that Spence was not ready for that. Crawford's IQ is way higher than Spence's.

 

Spence had never had to defend a southpaw jab that strong before. Totally threw him off.

You don't jab with a jabber, but you do hook with a hooker.

we already had this discussion on who had the best jab in boxing. we can bump that thread and see who said crawford had the most versatile best jab. fine with that.

 

That jab was Felix Sturm quality.
