I mean Wilder wanted a rematch. He was equally destroyed in the second fight. But I guess the KD in the first fight still motivated him.

But I generally agree. That was a humbling experience. That kind of loss takes a toll on a fighter's mind. Spence is a very confident fighter but he was thoroughly dominated in every facet of the game.

Yeah, I speak for him. He retained my services this morning. And I can confirm that he does not want a rematch.

Great message @Olu G. Rotimi but I don’t think Spence needs that rematch. If this was a chess fight then sure but this was an 18 Wheeler running over a small smart car—BRUTAL.

Let Spence recover and avoid Bud at all cost. There is nothing worth his life and I don’t wanna see the man die inside the ropes

You don’t need to lie as both guys publicly confirmed rematch at 154 pounds in the press conference as well as post fight interviews.

 what lie, that i'm a representitive of Spence-Crawford.

To put it in simpler terms:

Spence rematching Crawford is a terrible idea. I do not work for Spence, you did well to ferret out that lie, but the people who do work for him should be removed from the positions for allowing him to take that decision today. Spence has just suffered one of the most traumatic events of his life. Quite apart from the intense physical trauma, immediately after which no decisions of any matter should be taken by anybody, it clearly hasn't quite sunken in that Spence is not in Crawford's class; that he has never been in Crawford's class - that he never will be in Crawford's class as a boxer. These two aspects - the intense physical trauma and his inability to accept the reality of what occurred - has caused him to make a mistake.

The problem now is that, with his pride, once he's said he wants the rematch and Bud has accepted it, he will not be able to cry off. In other words, he will be locked into a fight that he will, in the coming weeks, realise he cannot win, and worse that another similar beating is guaranteed. One that will be dangerous for him physically and psychologically.

Spence doesn't want this rematch. Clearly it is not just him that is in denial. Which is, of course, the first stage of grief.

I dunno though, six months by the pool, then identify himself a nice juicy 154lb belt-holder, then fight a couple of mandatories, there's still money to be made.

Not as disciplined as Crawford? He trained for this fight in a non air conditioned shed in 1005F Dallas heat. And he didn't have to do so. If you are on target, he should have been training surrounded by strippers in an expensive Vegas hotel suite.

Not only is there no need for a rematch but the public won't buy it. At any weight. Spence has less of a chance at winning a rematch than Kombozo did against Haney.

I would advise Spence to take a LONG time to think about what he wants to do next. Go out to his ranch, chill out, play with his kids, and contemplate life after boxing.

it was alot more brutal the 2nd and 3rd time i watched. And that was no flash knockdown. watch it live and check his legs when he got up. the replays showed waist up. his legs wobbled bad

Yeah, but sometimes a fighter needs to be saved from themselves. Some guys would rather die in the ring than go out losing. Spence seems to be that type of dude.

That kind of beating esp in public can ruin a man mentally

I have my doubts he ever recovers from that

Bud has his number and @CST80 has been saying it for years as have others too.

I do not want to see this again at 147/154 or hell even 160 as it will play out the same if not worse.

Respect to Spence for getting up time and time again as that takes such a huge amount of physical and mental strength; however, sometimes people are too strong/ determined for their own good. NO REMATCH!!!
