I never said Maidana beats Crawford ? I said it would be an interesting fight. Maidana improved as a fighter and beat the hell out of Broner and run Mayweather very close in their 1st fight. Porter gave Crawford issues with his aggressive style, I don't see why it's so outrageous that Maidana could give Crawford some issues. Outside of Spence at Welterweight Crawford hasn't beaten anyone as good as Maidana at Welterweight.
After reviewing the list of past welterweight champions, in my opinion, you would have to go back to Sugar Ray Leonard to get someone with all the tools at that weight to beat Crawford. Hearns maybe but I think Crawford gets to him. Floyd was an excellent fighter with a great defense but Crawford has so many tools and great ring intelligence and would beat him.
I don't diasagree with you, Crawford beats Maidana, but the Gracia trained Maidana looked much better than he did pre Garcia imo.He learnt to use smart pressure.
