Carl Froch vs Frank Warren

Cheers for this bud, great interview. I don’t mind Umar from IFL, he’s probably the only one I can stomach interviewing Warren and Hearn etc.

What Umar should've replied with was "Yes, but Carl's retired whereas Fury is the active reigning WBC heavyweight champion of the world".

Also... the fact Frank had notes prepared to reply about when Froch's meeting with Frank was to discuss Calazaghe and Froch's ranking in March 2006 tells you that Frank gets a heads up on everything that's going to be asked in the interview lol

 

So wrong. Frank buried Carl with the JP argument.

Do you seriously think that someone as sharp as Frank is not going to know that something like this won't get brought up? He's not stupid, and he is very obviously going to bury Froch.

 

Frank certainly does his homework beforehand.

That's because he's probably the only one with interviewing skills. The rest are beginners.

 

He really didn't. A big difference in Froch a retired fighter entertaining it compared to the top dog of the heavyweight division whilst the public are crying out for an undisputed fight with Usyk.

Frank and numerous other promoters know it's going to be brought up because they effectively do a "risk assessment" with the interviewers beforehand..... e.g. certain things can't be asked. We've all heard about it. And in fairness to Eddie, he will be asked all sorts of things off the cuff in interviews and will more often than not answer them.

 

Froch is a clout chaser now. If FROCK really had principles he wouldn't talk about JP at all.

 

Warren mocking the idea of a retired fighter taking on Jake Paul when he had just made the fight for his 'professional boxer' Tommy Fury against Paul a few months earlier.

No doubt at the time Warren was calling Tommy a great boxer and the Paul fight a very serious one

 

I mean he is clearly pro Warren and gives him an easier time, but he handles the flack Hearn gives him during interviews relatively well. I like him. Agree some of them are awful especially that Scottish guy from IFL.

 

Never liked Froch but he’s been speaking sense about Joshua and Fury etc lately.

Froch has always been close to Hearn.
However, unlike Company man Bellew, Froch will say what he thinks rather than follow a script.

He's not just slating Joshua but sucking up to Fury, he's also calling Fury out for his ridiculous antics.

I find people who stand by their own opinion like Froch and Sunny Edwards a breath of fresh air in boxing. There aren't many about

For a while, a short few years ago it seemed Mr Allegedly had mellowed with old age.

Haha I'm not necessarily a fan of his but I like the way he publicly calls out other boxers when pundits ect dare not say a word out of line
