IFL last week. AJ Whyte Press Conference. Apparently there'll be a new UK show announced every day this week plus some US shows. Likely or bullsh1t ?
Most likely... he's been saying for a number of weeks now he wants to get in a position whereby he can announce the full Matchroom schedule for all to see.
Wood v Warrington announced, 7th October in Sheffield. https://www.matchroomboxing.com/new...ll-british-world-title-showdown-on-october-7/ Really hope they segregate the blocks - without it, that crowd could be messy.
I just hope Josh decides to use his hands in this fight and not just headbutt. Really gone off him in recent fight. Horrible watch
That last fight with Warren vs Sofiane Takoucht, he was like a mini Jack Dempsey, banging his gloves together before demolishing an out of depth challenger. Since returning to Matchroom, hes looked like a shot fighter, Martinez win aside.
I think this is the last fight for the loser, 1 more for the winner. Its a good fight and one I'm really looking forward too but this has got an 'end of an era' feeling to it for me, especially for Warrington.
There's only going to be 5 UK shows for the rest of the year??!! I Hope they are announcing more at a later date
No there will be more, just the announcements cover US and Mexican shows too. From August we will have in the UK and Ireland for definite: Joshua Whyte II, Yafai Frank, Cordina, Wood Warrington, Catterall and Cameron Taylor II. Could also have Wardley Adeleye depending on purse bids. Then outside of the UK and Ireland, Haney Prograis, Edwards Rodriguez, Fierro, Lara, apparently Foster Hernandez, Bivol, Munguia Berlanga and more. Could also have Opetaia Riakporhe in Australia depending on purse bids. Golden Boy will also chip in with US and Mexican shows. There will definitely be a Monaco show in November. Abu Dhabi looks unlikely now.
Wow, great knowledge. You take some stick but you seem to know more than Hearn does. Impressive indeed.
I knew this would happen. That's the reason for my thread. Hearn can't tell the truth. The bottom line is that he's really struggling to put on decent headline fights these days, never mind undercard fights. Said there would be two more heavyweight fights on the AJ show. Doubt that will happen. I'm guessing it'll be AJ/Whyte Hrgovic/McClean Johnny Fisher with Campbell Hattan and a women's fight. That's PPV. He's lucky that Boxxer haven't taken off and that no one from Matchroom wants to go to Frank otherwise he'd be done as a major promoter. His UK shows are heading the way of his US shows, infrequent, uninspiring, overhyped ( by him, nobody else ) and crppled with negative momentum. His 'stable' is riddled with inactivity which is a sure sign of disharmony. Expect regular ' nxtgen ' shows going forward, a concept that is ridiculous on a so-called premium boxing channel like Dazn.
