I mean the wild man from Nicaragua was able to beat Vernon Forrest not once but twice, and in the 2nd fight actually beat him to a decision. Crawford is another level tho than Forrest IMO (RIP) and Spinks, but how many rounds would prime Mayorga go with Bud Crawford? Would he be smoking on that BUD Pack during a post fight interview? Lol
The Forrest version of Mayorga was a true beast. His insanity and whirlwind attacks would keep him in the fight for a while and give Crawford some problems. He would last 8-10 rounds.
You mean the ones about him looking like a Zombie, the walking dead, an AIDS patient, and a prisoner of a concentration camp?
I think it's a great question op, Mayorga is a paradox, his best two nights he beat Vernon Forrest a kid labeled as a problem/ threat at welterweight tall and lanky, supremely talented all that jazz... And Mayorga beat him (twice) which boggles the mind because he lost a lot of high profile matches as well. I say the Mayorga that stood in there with Vernon Forrest twice, is a legitimate threat or good opponent for Terrance Crawford. I ain't saying anything new, just sitting on the fence lol. Hard to commit to a winner, that's why we have these fights.
That would be the end result but I think he could make it interesting for a while. He would do better than the latest version of Spence.
i though forrest wont the rematch clear as day.....watched the fight like 20 times in a row and couldnt see it how mayorga won it.
