Again, he took and was cleared to fight. He had months to prepare so if he was not physically right then it is on him. Some people (not you specifically) are carrying on as though this is Ali vs Holmes all over again, which is absolute nonsense.

Crawford is getting barely a fraction of the credit he deserves for what was a brilliant performance. And some fans just don't cope when their fighter gets beaten.

That he is looking for another fat payday. They could fight at any weight and Crawford beats him easily.

You are conveniently overlooking the fact that the fight on the weekend was agreed at 147. Spence had months to prepare at 147. He fought at 147 against Ugas in his last fight and has fought pretty much his whole career at 147. Now we are to believe that he struggled to make weight?

Are people actually trying to claim that making that weight drained him? After months to prepare? It's as stupid as saying the car crash, where he broke precisely zero bones, has stopped him. He fought and comfortably beat world class Garcia and very decent Ugas between the accident and the Crawford fight.

Have you considered the most likely scenario and that is that Crawford is just on another level?

Before the weekend I would have said Inoue. Now I am absolutely undecided on it. Possibly Bud but only just.

    How do you see it?

I think Inoue had a great performance against Fulton, he was the number 1 guy at 122, but imo he wasn't a top 10 p4p boxer. Spence on the other hand was an elite fighter and ranked number 5 p4p and was given a very good chance at winning, (i picked Spence to win) but the way Crawford stopped him it was much more impressive imo. Spence was a higher caliber fighter than Fulton, so based off of that he's the number 1 guy in the sport with Inoue a solid number 2.

FTR I also had Inoue number 1 until the weekend.

Spence fans (the insecure ones) have been fishing for excuses this entire time, been trying any and everything that what will stick, and have found a somewhat convincing one with a “doctor” proclaiming “Crawford never looked that good” and “Crawford knew all along” “everyone set Spence up”. But it’s all conjecture or pure fantasy.

Another one we can add to the list of excuses is the 8 week VADA testing for this fight. Let’s remember the last time Spence did VADA (*not CBP), was vs Mikey Garcia where people mention Spence looking skinny and his lack of power. Also, if he needs help to make the weight (especially years after that fight) it probably wouldn’t be available since they like to test around weigh-in time for diuretics.

So lets explore all possibilities of excuses people. Just avoid the technical display we witnessed and people predicted.

I have the impression he's a chronic pot smoker, I've seen interviews with him before his accident, his eyes were extremely bloodshot.

    I could be wrong.

I've known some people who were pot smokers, the affects can linger for years.

Surely you'd have to put Spence in for a brain scan to say with absolute certainty, not just watch him for half an hour on TV, how reckless from a medical professional (that's if he is a medical professional).

I've watched the interview. It seems to me the doctor and the content creator are trying to weaponise Spence's loss and put it down to a brain injury from the car accident that he suffered 4 years ago. Most subject matter you see on Youtube or in other media is weaponised for maximum exposure.

In the off chance he does have a brain injury, one would hope his family, team, management and personal doctors guide him in the right direction.

Grigory Hackett, like countless other commentators have said, doesn't want to see a rematch but that if Spence does insist on going through with it he needs to take a tune up first

He said Spence should fight someone like a Castano or something. Problem is Castano beat Spence in the amateurs and allegedly dropped him twice so he wouldn't be a good ''tune up'' type of opponent and Castano obviously a former world champ and should've been undisputed too
