Since Crawford's name is at the top of P4P lists, I thought of this matchup. Before you say this is too farfetched, I should remind you that Crawford is a full fledged welterweight who weighs 160+ in the ring (165 if you believe Lampley). Assuming MW Canelo weighed 175 lbs in the ring this puts TC at 10 lbs disadvantage. In recent memory fighters like Lomachenko have fought for years at such a disadvantage. Is TC good enough to beat the best Canelo?
Won't say it can't happen. Might be a mismatch. Might not. I don't think Canelo is more skilled. I don't think Canelo has a speed advantage. Nor a stamina advantage. I think Canelo would be bulkier. Stronger. Heavier. Yes, weight classes exist for a reason, but sometimes I find it hard to gauge how much bigger one dude is than the other tell until the they're in the ring together. Or at least the weigh in.
Crawford couldn't stop a cagey Canelo, and definitely can't win on the cards if it's remotely close. Look at what Bivol had to do to win 115-113.
after crawford is 3x undisputed whether he gets those belts from charlo or tzyu it dont matter. Hes gonna have alot of pull to make that fight.
