John Mugabi was on the wrong end of a couple - from Terry Norris and Gerald McClellan.

Jimmy Thunder blasting Crawford Grimsley into another dimension in about 2 seconds of the opening round. Grimsley was still throwing punches on the ground

Louis vs Schmeling 2 may possibly be one of my most favorite first round KOs. No nostalgia, just pure objectivity.

Some first round KO's come out of nowhere or at least don't have a lot of action leading up to or during the execution of the KO. Of course, any first round KO only allows for 2;50 mins of action max (aside from counts continuing after the bell or stoppages).

This fight lasted 2 minutes and 4 seconds. Stats suggest that Louis threw 41 punches in total, 31 of which landed solidly. That's some high concentration of sublime work for the duration it lasted. Louis was on an absolute mission from first bell - he simply made all the right moves.

Even though Louis might've corrected his low left hand in readiness and recoil (after the jab), he wasn't going to allow Max any chance to try the counter right and settle into any groove with it, as Max did in the first fight. I only recall one counter Max tried after Louis jabbed but Joe had already deftly moved out of range straight after jabbing - the right fell well short.

The fight might've been even shorter if Max didn't have the ropes to hang on to for dear life. The support of the ropes actually prolonged Schmeling's agony but it allowed for the vision of some incredibly powerful shots landed by Louis.

Hearns vs. Shuler. For James it was too bad since he was a nice guy and this was his first big fight against a top top fighter, not that Kinchen and Seales were not tops, but not like Thomas Hearns on a big undercard fight.

First fight I think of when this topic comes up. Scores a one punch KO with literally the first punch thrown. Saw it live, but it never gets old!

Mike Tyson seems to feature quite a bit on this thread so might as well throw this one in as well. All 30 seconds of it.
