Still waiting on Beterbiev and Bivol

You guys make me laugh, like everything is black or white.

Beterbiev is always injured or sick or taking a break for Ramadan. His fight with Smith was just postponed to at least November because of a ''major infection'' to his jawbone. The WBC doesn't want Bivol to fight for their belt because of their standing with Russian fighters right now. Arum said he doesn't want to pursue a fight against Bivol out of respect for Ukraine over the conflict.

But it's all on Bivol.

Bivol check-mated himself with the Canelo negotiations by trying to make the right at 168lbs and Canelo said "f*CK off" basically

Now Bivol has no opponent and Hearn has nothing for him either

Beterbiev has a serious tooth infection that went into his jaw so his fight with Callum Smith is cancelled too. It will take weeks of antibiotics and his stomach will be on fire if he is taking 14 days of Metronidazole 400mg tablets and his recovery time will be compromised too.

We're going to see Callum Smith Vs Beterbiev before Bivol.

I heard Jan/Feb time for this fight and then Ramadan will happen in March so realistically we will see Bivol vs Beterbiev in June or July time if it's in Europe or America. The Middle East will be too hot and they're the only ones willing to put up the money to make it happen.

My suggestion: drop the WBC belt and forget Callum Smith. Stop wasting your time and career, Artur. These American promoters don't want to give you the chance or opportunity. You are too dangerous, too low risk and too injury prone at this age while your longevity is also questionable.

This tooth infection has derailed his career by a good 6-12 months unless he can fight Callum Smith in November/early December and immediately negotiate for a Bivol fight.

Damnnnn nothing as crap as a tooth infection. It's almost worth getting socked in the mouth if it would just knock the tooth out. Artur has my sympathies.

 

Besides all the bull crap, If they fight right now or when Beterbiev is 40, doesn't matter - Bivol will whup him.

 

Bivol dominates this fight, too much footwork and handspeed. Not that I don't love Beterbiev or that it's not possible he could walk him down and get to him late in the fight, but I think if they fought 10 times Bivol wins 9 of them.

Apparently WBC President Mauricio Sulaiman said Bivol can file an exemption (like Beterbiev did) and they *can* make the undisputed fight as long as Beterbiev takes care of Callum Smith first.

The whole Canadian citizenship thing is bluster. These sanctioning bodies want their money first and foremost and they won't let the Ukrainian conflict get in the way of that if the proper paperwork is filed.
Bivol though didnt file it because he was still chasing Canelo.

Perhaps we can finally see it in 2024 now. We have seen how popular undisputed title fights are when they're properly marketed like the Crawford Vs Spence fight was, despite it being 3 years too late.....

Bottom line is that the ball is in Bivol's court now and once he gets over the shell shock of missing the Canelo payday he will see sense and file the paperwork.

Why would Fury & Usyk fight for $60-80m split between them when they can wait to nearly double their pay sitting on their hands?

People also need to realize both of these guys are retiring stone dead cold after this bout although Fury has managed to find the freak show money fighting MMA bums. It just keeps getting better for him.
