    He received no punishment

His career went on as normal

    He still headlined PPV fights

He didn't become persona non grata

Yeah. The best scenario would be Joshua knocking the **** out of him with an uppercut, then Shyte getting busted and his purse being held off.

That’s what the ****ing bum deserves.

And then Wallin then embarrasses him for 12 rounds thereafter. If there's any justice in this world Wallin will get the Joshua fight. Shyte has received way too many undeserved opportunities and 2nd chances in his career.

Boxing is dangerous enough without people taking PEDs.

That's not how it works, if an athlete fails a test it's not meant to be made public until the investigation is completed. Innocent until proven guilty and all that. But occasionally it gets leaked like with Fury and Whyte.

Absolutely infuriating. I was honestly pretty excited about august. AJ, Beterbiev, and Usyk. Sure, none of them are fighting who we want them to fight, but at least they were going to fight. Now we're down to just Usyk.

Yes in an ideal world a single failed test would mean a lifetime ban and there was a time that athletes used to get automatic 4 year bans for a first offence but Increasing the punishment for a failed test would result in a greater burden of proof and quite frankly the science of anti doping simply isn't good enough to 100% guarantee proof that an athlete actually cheated.

So we are left in a situation where athletes are simply given suspensions rather than out right bans. Any attempts to increase the severity of punishments for a failed test will result in more athletes getting away with cheating because the requirement to prove their absolute guilt would become greater than it currently is and result in more unsuccessful cases of proving the athletes guilt due to the greater requirement to prove their guilt.

Why would there have to be more proof? A fighter is either guilty or not.
So are you suggesting that those boxers who receive bans for peeing hot, have been found guilty on scientific evidence, that is possibly not strong enough to deny them the opportunity to earn a living for length of the ban?

With a suspension they don't need to really prove absolute guilt, a failed test is enough to allow them to warrant a shorter suspension as per the rules. We all just assume the testing bodies do their jobs properly and a failed test means an athlete has cheated when it reality it's actually "they may have cheated." Athletes then have the right to appeal via a tribunal and if they succeed they are allowed to compete and if they fail their suspension remains. This is how it currently works and both sides usually honour this.

But if we start giving more severe suspensions or making them criminal offences or make it a life time ban, it would result in a situation the testing bodies do not actually want. Athletes failing to clear their names at a tribunal will now have the incentive to take testing bodies to actual court and if that happens then the testing bodies will be exposed in a way they would damage the image and veracity of anti doping as we currently see it. Testing bodies would become powerless to enforce any kind of suspension legally as they would have been legally exposed as being unable to prove definitive guilt in the court of law.

Fact is anti doping is a sham, nothing more than a PR exercise to keep people believing that sports are clean and athletes are clean for the most part. The science simply isn't good enough and likely will never be good enough to really be what it pretends to be.

:shakehead: The HW div. can't get out of its own way.

I'll be shocked if we see AJ-Filip or even a Wallin level opponent. But they can't pick a no-hoper either. Will be a joke after Franklin.
Many potential substitutes, but hard to guess what will happen. I've said it before & I'll say it again - Fury is far from the only problem in the division.
