With this on top of all the Fury nonsense all I can say is thank God for the Paul brothers. They’re singlehandedly emerging from the **** heap that is modern boxing and carrying it on their backs.

If AJ owns the show and it was his decision to cancel then the answer is right there. AJ wasn't interested in keeping it silent till due process.

Dillan Whyte in his statement is giving the impression he wasn't even told the fight was off and only found out after the matchroom press release was sent out.

Now that is “game changing” a Southern Area title fight topping DAZN prime time slot

Joint promotion with Wasserman, which might tell you why he thought he'd get sued for cancelling.

This is a Matchroom show for the benefit of AJ.

You think Wasserman would have sued him?

Hearn's a bit of a lifeline for them in many ways now the boxing scene in Germany has died off

It’s obviously Hearn who cancelled it straight away. The **** he got after the Benn fiasco meant there would only be one outcome.

The most ridiculous thing is though Whyte will be back fighting before you know it. It’s the third time and he’s still trying to make out he has no idea how it’s happened.

In practice no, but it's a plausible get-out for him.
