    But them draining thenselves like this cant be good either? Might even be worse.

    The obvious solution is regulated weigh ins leading up to a fight so it can be done healthy and the event can go on.

    Making weight is no joke. Sometimes it takes desperate measures like turning on that shower on the hottest setting and steaming up the bathroom while laying on the floor in a sauna suit covered in towels for 30 minutes. It's exhausting.

    Most boxers do this it’s not an easy life homie not for the faint hearted.I seen boxers have 10 layers of blanket covered over them from head to toe with the heater on full blast in a garage to lose weight.No excuse.

    This is standard, everyone cutting weight is in the sauna with suit on and even taking out up to 40 ounces of blood to lose that extra pound or 2 before the early morning weight in. The blood thing is pretty common even among athletes who aren't cutting weight, is just that in combat sports you can get rid of that pound or 2 and get the benefit of pumping fresh highly red cell fortified blood which will allow you hold more oxygen and thus increase cardio and recovery after a burst of energy.

    I can think of one boxer who used a sauna and got busted. And before that, he had diarrhea and pulled out of the fight against the same boxer.

    I'll give you a hint — he's a dirty rat-looking pedo who got caught with an underaged girl in his hotel room...

    I agree, but you have to have controls in place to stop boxers doing this hours before a fight. Ie have a limit on the hydration percentage in the body.
