Many fighters have now expressed their willingness to step in and face Joshua next Saturday, August 12. Otto Wallin, Michael Hunter, Andy Ruiz and Hasim Rahman Jr have said they are willing to step in, and Joseph Parker's manager says his fighter is also ready.

Hearn has NO excuse to cancel the event, or have Joshua remain inactive.

Chisora is another option. Washington has been mentioned as well but that would be a mismatch. Bakole would probably also agree to step in, but he and Hrgovic might be seen as too dangerous.

Rahman takes on the role of Frontrunner because he does not represent any danger, but he does not bring anything at all, but he could save the event.

AJ wouldn't fight Hunter, Wallin or Ruiz Jr. Too risky.

From that list otto is the interesting option which means it won't happen. That would mean AJ wants to redeem himself against the southpaw style. Otto outboxes the **** out of him.

    Rahman Jr, lol.

If it is not Hrgovic, that is pitiful IMO.

That would be the two top British heavies bringing the sport into disripute.

How the fights that make sense autonstically can be crossed off for soft touches is whats wtonh with boxing.
Put wallin up in there. Lets see how he does vs AJ.

So basically everyone is looking to step in at short notice and repeat what Ruiz did before.

I'm surprised Luis Ortiz hasn't thrown in hat into the ring for a shot at AJ, he's out of options for big fights and this would likely be his biggest payday and there's enough history between them two to make people want to tune in and watch it. Would also be interesting to see a comparison between AJ and Wilder vs Ortiz.

Anyone but Chisora. I admire the man's willingness but he does not deserve another fight against a top guy when he has lost so many of those bouts. There are a lot of great up and coming (though not particularly young) heavyweights who deserve a chance against one of the leaders of the heavyweight division.

People on Twitter are already congratulating Rahman Jr., does it look like that fight will happen?

"Would also be interesting to see a comparison between AJ and Wilder vs Ortiz."

4-6 years too late + 44 year old Ortiz may well be done. And I don't see them putting Joshua in with a skilled southpaw puncher on 7 days notice.

I'd rather Hearn cancels the event then get Rahman Jr to step in.

Considering it took him 8 months to dare to fight a top 30 guy.

It won't be Rahman Jr., who was dominated by chinless MMA fighter Greg Hardy and stopped by Morrison's son in 5 rounds. That would be beyond a joke. I could see Washington though.
