I think Spence is spent. The accident and now the Bud fight will really age him. Resting/going up to 154 isn't going to help. Fighting Tim isn't going to help either. He's going to need a tune up to see where he is at if he moves to 154. Tim isn't a tune up. Tim would tune Errol up. At this stage of their careers it's not a smart fight for Errol.
His chin is not a lie, lol. Once he ejected himself out of his car face first into the asphalt; he punch resistance became severely compromised . At the end of the day , its his own actions that caused this. It will haunt him I'm sure ,but he seems like he will get over it.
Don't forget, Harrison beat Charlo the first time and Tszyu abliterated Harrison. Is Spence better than Mell?
Spence is not going to fare well at Light Middleweight at all, I have a hard time seeing him make the final bell against Castano, who's a featherfist compared to Tim. So yeah, this is a no brainer. Hopefully his family intervenes and convinces him to retire for his own good before someone does some damage that he can't walk away from.
Spence lost to a highly skilled dude. Tszyu is not on Crawford's level when it comes to skill. He's tough and determined has, decent skills but, not near elite level. Now, his size may be an issue for Spence. TT may have the right combination of size and skill that can give Spence issues. I, for one, would like to see this fight.
I see Mayweather saying he thinks Spence should think about 160-168. I'm thinking the same but 160. He'll probably have to drain hard to make 154 too. In hindsight, it looked like he didn't put much weight on after the weigh in against Crawford. But as I haven't heard what weight he was on the night I'm not 100% sure. I know of a fighter who fought Cruiser and Heavy, and had fought at Light Heavy earlier in his career. Later in his career he tried to make the Light Heavy limit for a title bout of sorts, and he made the weight, but instead of putting on the normal amount of weight he would after a weight cut, he put barely anything back on. The weight cut really ****ed him hard. He still went ahead with the fight, which was stopped in the fourth by the ref. He ended up very sick in hospital after the bout. That was his last fight. He never fought again.
Wow, Spence went from overrated in my opinion to perhaps now being underrated. Not saying he beats Tszyu but damn people just saying he's now been ruined from one fight with Bud seems over the top. Maybe Spence will be rejuvenated at the weight if were to believe his fans that he was so badly drained at 147 or perhaps being at 154 with similar sized opponents for once, his physical style that relied so much on him being stronger than his opponent will no longer be effective. As for Spence vs Tszyu, I doubt we'll ever see it, PBC won't let him near Tszyu. He'll likely rematch Crawford or after Jermell as been KO'ed by Canelo and come back down we'll see Spence vs Jermell.
I don't think they are going anywhere near Tim. He is a vicious puncher and Spence was getting kd'd by the wind from some Crawford shots. His reactions to any shot just wasn't good at all. People say he was drained but he was touting how he had a nutritionist and was good at the weight. He actually looked in solid shape during the media workouts. We'll see if he looks better at 154 with less weight cutting. Put him in with Inoue or Sergio Garcia.
