So? Jonathan Rice lost to Stephan Shaw, but Rice would be a better opponent. Chisora has taken so much damage throughout his career. Washington has only had 2 fights since 2020 where he was stopped both times. Helenius has fought 4 times since then, stopping Kownacki twice and beating an unbeaten opponent last weekend.

Helenius is also a much bigger puncher than Chisora and Washington. Let's be honest, Joshua beats all 3 comfortably - he has chosen the biggest puncher out of them all.
Leigh Wood lost to Jazza Dickens 3 and a half years ago - but who is more of a challenge right now? Use your common sense please.
No it isn't. You pay for a Sky Sports and BT Sport subscription - they aren't terrestrial TV, neither is DAZN. And don't come back with "DAZN doesn't have as much content". You're just upset the event hasn't been cancelled after the link you posted yesterday which got you excited.
And you're going to ignore my point about Fury vs Schwarz and Wallin being on PPV at 4am in the morning?

I'm personally looking forward to seeing Hrgovic in action, and also a good step-up for Johnny Fisher. Chisora vs Washington should be fun. I'll be watching all 4 heavyweight bouts.

This is a standard Saturday night fight night. I am really looking forward to it!

Somewhere in Liverpool, Big Pricey is sat outside some ones house, after an urgent plumbing job, chowing down his Pot Noodle, knowing that it should have been him.

    Oh dear, oh dear.

Simon Jordan's 'facts' proven wrong and inaccurate on all things AJ v Whyte so reverts back to Conor Benn , very weak from SJ imo.

Now EH has left the building SJ takes the opportunity to peddle his misguided opinion as 'fact' again.

I don’t see what the issue is. Training for Whyte who got popped. Fights Helenius. Seems reasonable to me given the notice.

It's a non-PPV card featuring 4 heavyweight fights. People on here complain about anything involving Matchroom unfortunately. Don't get the hate for it. I remember when the DAZN // Joshua deal was announced, and a lot of people here thought all his fights would be on PPV. Now we get 2 back-to-back on non-PPV. That's great for the fans.

Very decent card for a non PPV.

Yet you will get people asking why he didn’t fight Hrgovic or Andy Ruiz. It is in a week. Be realistic.

They've done well to keep the show on, will I be subscribing for £20 to watch it. No.

The bit that will be interesting is when they found out, Eddie obviously said earlier they found out on Saturday, but he at no stage told the truth especially on timelines with Benn, so who knows.

The no one expected AJ to be on non PPV when signing with DAZN is true, but absolutely no one expected the opponents to be so bad (RH obviously due to circumstances).

I'm not ignoring it, it's just not relevant to anything. It doesn't change the fact that people had to shell out £20 for the Franklin fight. The Helenius fight is another £20 for a flexible one month pass. This is DAZN we're talking about here, the only reason people sign up to it is for the odd event like this. It's PPV in all but name. This is before we get on to the fact that the Whyte fight, as crap as it was, was a PPV. £47 to watch two past it fighters go through the motions.

Help me here, because Simon Jordan tried to belabour this point and I didn't get the relevance.

Why would it matter that there might have been a 24 hour delay between them informing the board and making a public statement? Isn't 24 hours to work out whether they're looking at a full cancellation or a new opponent reasonable? Presumably if they'd spoken to half a dozen viable names and they'd all said no or asked for ridiculous money, they'd have announced a full cancellation.

But it still isn't PPV. There was a show on Friday night in the US on DAZN and also one on August 19. It's not PPV regardless how you try to spin things.
Different models I know, but Wilder vs Helenius was PPV in the US. I think the US PPV's are worse than the ones in the UK for main events. I remember Ortiz vs Martin and Benavidez vs Plant being on PPV, apparently Benavidez vs Andrade will be PPV too. All by PBC - any decent fight they put on is on PPV. Going a bit off topic here I know.

My point is Eddie said they'd only just found out about the Benn test, then it turned out he'd failed another 7 weeks ago.

So although now Eddie is saying they found out on Saturday, that might not be the case.

IF they did find out on Saturday or Sunday then they've done well to keep it on.

Eddie is economical with the truth, so he could have found out 5 weeks ago, which like the Benn case, came out in the wash.

Gotcha. It's not PPV, it's just going to cost you £20 to watch. But hey, you get reruns of GGG-Canelo, and a few YouTuber clownfests thrown in too. We'll ignore they're all available on YouTube for free, and the fact you've no interest in them.
