It's not exactly unheard of though is it? A lot of the journeymen who can be found providing prospects with 'learning fights' are fighting week on week. If anything the anomaly in historical terms is recent behaviour with fighters on 2 fights a year or less in some cases.

I get it's not ideal, but as long as he didn't take a beating surely it's better to get someone fighting fit rather than a guy who hasn't had a camp?

It wasn't a great listen, I don't see how any one can think either of them sounded good here. They spent half the time talking over each other wasting opportunities to get their points across.
Hes just announced he is suffering from cancer and he gets personally insulted by Eddie in what should of been a debate about boxing. Stay classy Eddie

It was always fake. His gold medal is fake, World title shot straight after wining a vacant British title, painstakingly carefully matched to avoid anybody, which sadly in that division isn’t that hard and makes it easier to con people. That’s before you get onto his even faker, bullying, racist personality.

Crazy mate that quite a few on here seen it long before he was rumbled in 2019 but many still fail to accept your factual representation of his career and abilities.

    It is astonishing.

We all have our own opinions, but for me that is quite harsh. He did have good performances in defences against Wlad and Povetkin.

Agree that he lost twice in the Olympics.

Do you think Wilder or Fury would fight the following weekend either?
Fury has just announced a fight against somebody making his debut and it’s still 10 months after his last defence against “top 15 fighter” double digit losses career plodder Chisora. By the time he is ready to fight again it will be nearly two years since his defence against Whyte.

Can’t even remember when Wilder fought helenius and the WBC was very vocal about ordering Wilder v Ruiz but that hasn’t happened yet.

No I would not yet all would expect people to be happy with taking liberties.

I am furious with Fury for ducking Usyk so no bias from me.

Easy money to be made getting back on the Whyte-Chisora-Parker carousel that will keep him occupied until the end of 2024, then pray that Wilder becomes shot in the interim.

I do think it’s a missed opportunity not fighting Hrgovic. For me Helenius is another Franklin level fighter, there was a chance to make a bit of a statement in the division by beating an unbeaten fighter from the supposed crop of people who should takeover once fury/Joshua/Usyk retire.

A win over Hrgovic followed by a win over wilder would see him as #2 in the division behind Usyk for the time being.

Hrgovic may have not wanted it though given his current position.
