How can someone look their best when their opponent is landing 60% of their power shots. Weight drained, car crash had nothing to do with Spence's defense or terrible strategy. Trainer DJ: Do to Crawford what you have done in all your fights. Spence: Ok. But Crawford is a master when it comes to taking away an opponentes strengths and he adapts pretty good. Trainer DJ: what adapt mean? Forget all that, just do what I told you. Spence: what that was? Trainer DJ: huh? Spence: what about defense? Trainer DJ: my fence is fine. Why you asking bout that? DING DING!!!!!!. The rest is history.
Imagine holding three of the four belts at 147 and finally meeting your Kryptonite opponent on pay-per-view..:.End of story
A bit of a pointless thread (and I picked Spence to win). The fight was to prove who the best welter was. It is very clearly Crawford. You can say Spence was drained as an excuse, sure but this was "strap season" and Errol wanted all the belts at Welter. Terrence is the best welter and it is undeniable. At 154 I don't know how much changes. If you want to blame the car accident without having any inside info whatsoever, then you are just guessing. It was definitely very surreal to see Crawford beat him easier than he did any other fighter but it was even harder to watch as Spence had nothing different for Terrence at all. Errol just came in trying to swing harder and just made things worse. It looks like Errol has at least grown out of welter, but the point of the fight was for ww belts so TC deserves full credit. Spence isn't trying to make excuses so why are his fans?
