I believe this is due to Tim being the interim champ with the WBO only. All the other boxing federations either have other mandatory challengers or interim champs. I think Brian Mendoza is the WBC interim champ and there is some talk of the WBC following the WBO and also stripping Charlo and promoting Mendoza to full-champion status. Also rumoured that Tim and Brian facing each other later in the year.
Agreed. Give Timmy all the belts and all the smoke. He's #1 in the division. And while we're at it, give him Crawford's P4P title as well. Man down!
I'm hearing whispers of Ben Horn taking on Crawford next for family honour...I should probably get that looked at.
Terrific fight. Well matched undercard fights like this really add value to the show. Both guys come forward & punch hard. I don't know who wins but I will say "Kiwi down!"
**** that. Tim does deserve all 4 belts. That's what they were fighting for. 3 times. 3 times that ***** Charlo pulled out. Bull****.

Just looking back on some past fighters from our country, would be interesting to see how they would have fared vs the guys of today. I was a big fan of Lovemore N'dou ( and many more ) and just looked up his record. 62 fights, 13 defeats and went the distance with some big names like Kell Brook, a young Canelo Alvarez. 2 losses to Malinaggi, loss to Cintron, Cotto, Sharmba, Junior Witter. He did mix it with some very good names. How would he have fared vs Michael Zerafa for example? Funnily enough, I was also remembering and saw that Gary St. Clair, another Aussie boxer I enjoyed watching was Lovemore's last fight. And when I read this report Gairy St Clair: World champion boxer has sentence reduced on appeal after Chemist Warehouse fight | news.com.au — Australia’s leading news site and saw that a lawyer by the name of N'dou represented him, I did think it would be the great Lovemore lol. And it was. I did recall seeing somewhere he's a lawyer now. Funny read. Couldn't help but laugh reading that story. They had aPhoto after the hearing lol! I loved these guys. Chris John Sam Solomon Shannon Taylor Even Mundine Daniel Dawson Daniel Geale Rob Medley ( good fighter!!!! ) Ben Cruz - should have kept going. Was good. Julian Holland Weebee Tony Patterson Nader Hamdan Ben Rabah **** I could go on. Taylor got clocked some beauties vs Mosely and Holland. The Bull-Eye Blaster was also one of the guys I enjoyed watching. Daniel Dawson - Dropped Austin Trout twice in the second round I believe. If not for that achilles heel injury, he had him! Did well to fight on one leg. edited - how could I forget Garth Wood!!!! Legend. Pretty sure he's in the Last King of the cross show. Actually I know it's him haha. Champion of a bloke. Good fighter.
Jackson only fought a few weeks ago on Noel Thornberry's show in Gatton, Qld I thought it was quick turn-around when I heard that this fight was announced
This content is protected Riakporhe pulled out of the purse bids on the day they were supposed to be held.
Yeah, apparently Boxxer pulled the same stunt with one of their other fighters as Matchroom were likely to win the purse bid and Boxxer didnt want their fighter appearing on DAZN. Pretty **** for Jai as this has happened now on two occasions with the others withdrawing from the purse bid on the final day. Reading that Breidis is next in line
Surely Jai can't be ****ed fighting Breidis again? He needs to put something in the book though. In the circumstances, I think they should let him do a voluntary. Maybe Dorticus is up for cashing in - or Badou Jack if the cash is available.
**** I was getting Hardman confused with Goodman. I thought Goodman was fighting tonight for a world title and just read that Goodman is getting shafted like Tszyu did ( or to some degree ) I don't care for this match up. Talks too much **** does Hardman, like a hardman, and Zerafa belted him into oblivion. Just saw he lost in March also, don't know why he's headlining a fight for. Back on '' Micky '' Zerafa. Did he actually **** himself and duck for cover after knowing Tszyu would kill him? Be a massive dagger in the heart of his fighting career? Or was there actually some other reason as to why he didn't fight Tim? Because him coming out again and trying to start this bs with Timmy actually has some substance, or he really is just a big mouthed clown who dribbles ****? ( see Kell Brooks, I mean Brook ) I still like Zerafa though despite his antics. He's alright at heart, when he's not looking in the mirror.
