1) Usyk - one belt from undisputed 2) Zhang - Can beat anybody on any given night 3) Wilder - Can beat anybody on any given night 4) Hrgovic - boring, but great chin and can bang a little 5) Joyce - Zhang exposed him but he's still good 6) Cartman..er...Ruiz - get in shape and he moves up 7) AJ - due a crushing defeat - Wilder will give it to him 8) Mahmudov 9) Sanchez 10) Anderson Hoping we can see Gassiev vs. Wallin Whyte is done unless he can prove it was a false positive. Fury is effectively retired from competitive heavyweight boxing. He's going to go the WWE route to prevent fighting Usyk or Zhang
Not sure how u dont have Fury on there but Usyk Fury Wilder Ruiz Zhang Joyce AJ Sanchez Parker Anderson
01 - Usyk 02 - Fury 03 - Zhang 04 - Wilder 05 - Joshua 06 - Hrgovic 07 - Ruiz 08 - Joyce 09 - Makhmudov 10 - Sanchez
He said that he considers him retired, and I don't think that is an intellectually dishonest opinion at all. For me... Uysk Fury Joshua Ruiz Zhang Hrgovic Wilder Joyce Sanchez Anderson Winner of Gassiev-Wallin could bump some guys. i think the main thing here are that people are making WAY too much of Wilder's dodgy win over Sugar Bob Helenius.
Good list. Mine would be very similar. Agree on #1-4. I'd have Filip higher. How can anyone state Fury is "retired"? If Fury is retired, then many top HWs are semi retired.
1. Fury 2. Usyk 3. Wilder 4. Zhang 5. Ruiz 6. Joyce 7. Ortiz 8. Sanchez 9. Anderson 10. Makhmudov 11. Hrgovic 12. Bakole
This is a good list. I wouldn’t have Ruiz Jr in the top 8. He is clearly washed up and has no motivation since making life changing money vs AJ. It’s difficult for new HW’s to make it into the elite conversation when major promoters are putting on two washed up 40 year olds as chief support for AJ vs a washed up 40 year old. I get that they are desperate to milk their cash cows dry but it’s killing the sport. After what Bakole did to Yoka he should have been on that card as chief support or fighting AJ. Good Eastern European HW’s are being frozen out by promoters.
