Hrgovic is nowhere near ready for Usyk.

I have to admit that Hrgovic looked very good against McKean in the first 3 or 4 rounds, his defense was good and he was precise, after that he seemed to experience some kind of crisis, I'd rather see him against someone else.

Why not Usyk, that would be 3rd southpaw. He has his rythm now. Fight was good, tehnicaly Hrgovic was superior, but every time he went full in, McKean used tactic of wrestling while holding the ropes with glove. Judge didnt intervine. I thought if the fight goes to the distance, McKean will get SD, he is austrailian, that is basicaly british.

You might be reading too much into it. It was around rounds 4 to 5 onward that I stopped scoring the fight because it was obvious McKean changed gameplan and was just trying to spoil and lean on Hrgovic at every opportunity in the faint hope of tiring him out for a stoppage late on. When McKean tried to then open up in the 12th round, Hrgovic caught him with something big.

Very hard to look good against a big southpaw who isn't even trying to box with an eye on stealing rounds for a points win.

Though, obviously there are levels between Usyk and McKean
