The problem is the first decent punch that doesn’t land clean is going to have AJ shelled up. Wilder if nothing else has real grit and will go balls to the wall, AJ will not. I’m not saying AJ can’t win, it’s HW boxing anything can happen but it’s not Wilders power per se, it’s his speed that’s going to freeze AJ.

You can't fight Wilder scared. Fury showed the blue print. You got to bring it to him and be in his face.

Joshua will try and box him. A slow moving statue like Helenius was able to catch Joshua. Wilder will too but big difference is Wilder packs dynamite in his punches.

The build up might be more entertaining than the fight. Two head case trying to diss each other at the press conference

Unless Joshua really hits him with something significant I just don't see him winning.

Wilder too fast, too explosive, quicker feet, not scared and has proven he will not quit. I don't think many people remember just how close he came to winning against Fury in I and III

I think it's close. Joshua is technically better, Wilder is more explosive. Power doesn't matter because they've both got enough to KO the other.
Wilder's had precious little ring time since his loss to Fury. AJ has been more active.
I agree with the above that AJ can't fight scared against Wilder, but he's also not a very physical fighter who uses his size to bully opponents.
He does have the tools to outbox Wilder though, and the power to keep Wilder honest. Also, Wilder received two bad beatings against the Gypsy Plonker, and is getting on in age. How much does he really have left?
Either way, this is not a foregone conclusion by any means.

I think AJ would be competitive and land at will.

On that statue they build of Wilder in Alabama. The living Wilder KO's him though. Trying to finesse, pick off shots, and go cautious is not the way to beat Wilder.

    I'm going Wilder by KO.
I think Joshua might have Wilder down a few times simply due to being the far better boxer and having a big punch himself. But once Joshua starts getting hit by those big shots I think he's going to crumble.

See, you can be funny when you leave Fury’s butt to come out to get some fresh air.

One man is scared to pull the trigger, one man lives to pull the trigger. This is only going one way.

It boggles my mind that people are still dreaming of a return for the brave Joshua who was mortally injured by Klitschko and cremated by Ruiz.

That Joshua's never coming back. All performances since, tell you this. He gets in the ring against Wilder, gets starched, retires. The end.

Klitschko was both the zenith and the destruction of his career.

AJ wins it. People really forget how limited Wilder actually is.

My only issue with this breakdown is the simple fact that both Breazeale and Helenius were ****** level reckless and walked onto beautifully timed counters from Wilder, whereas AJ was far more circumspect in both fights. AJ actually put a pretty brutal and sustained beat down on Breazeale, which would have had a far more long lasting detrimental effect.

I always fancied AJ pre Ruiz 1 as I simply thought he had the better fundamentals and would walk Wilder onto something, reminiscent to the Charles Martin fight, but now, AJ is just far to tentative.
