If it happens more than likely on SKY too. And if Joshua gets sparked out, it will be his last fight. Imagine that from a DAZN perspective, they gave him mega bucks and equity and the only fights on the platform are Franklin (which did 175,000), and Helenius (which I’ve told has projected to do less than Franklin). No wonder they’re going to pull out of the UK if they don’t land the Prem Rights next March time
If they gave him actual equity and not simply options on equity with some kind of timing schedule, the longer he stayed with DAZN, they're fools. And they would be doing something no serious business would do with its shares.
AJ hasn't got the personality to keep people interested. Now he's started losing and looking average he's not got the charisma to endear the audience (except Brixton Bomber) Look at Conor McGregor (who I personally dislike), he's had a fair share of loses lately but still has that presence around him to generate interest and money. Whereas AJ's gravy boat has well and truly sunk. I notice he hasn't been wearing his Beats headphones lately - that's at least one sponsorship down the pan
Is this confirmed DAZN UK are pulling out next year? Would not be surprised after Viaplay Sports UK announced they are pulling out of the UK last month.
@Astro You are well informed about Viaplay Sports UK. Any update on their plans to pull out of the UK and any idea where their sports rights may end up. Surely DAZN UK step in and take La Liga for example.
I can’t see it happening because AJ won’t let it. He’s a man with no confidence, no heart, no chin and mentally just looks and feels beaten. Scared to throw punches because of what May comeback and has zero killer instincts. Wilder will be licking his lips at the prospect of fighting AJ. I can’t see anyway AJ wins. Will be far to fearful to go after Wilder. Will try and outbox him, Fury tried this and even he received shots. If fury gets tagged. So does AJ and we all know AJ takes a punch as well as an 80 year old woman does. It’s goodnight and goodbye for AJ if he takes this fight.
Never confirmed. Depends on the Premier League Rights. Get the rights they’re here to stay but let’s be honest, they’re not going to get them. It’s the only thing that makes sense in sports broadcasting in the UK.
I got a call on Saturday evening and had to go to work. Had to ask my guests to leave the house. A bit sad, but they didn't miss much. It was a boring Matchroom show. I regularly talk to people from Viaplay and there is nothing new yet about where their sports rights end up but several have shown interest.
The British Forum cares more about what platform Joshua vs Wilder happens on rather than the fight actually happening. Really strange behaviour. Golovkin stopped Curtis Stevens in 8 rounds. Wale Omotoso stopped Curtis Stevens in 3 rounds. So Omotoso would beat Golovkin right. Okay.
If this happens I think we can all take a guess who would suddenly declare it the best league in world football
Regardless of what station it lands on, will anybody at all be watching if it clashes with Saudi League football? I doubt it, 'my sources' tell me it's the bestest, ever sports league in the whole wide world
Didn't say that at all in replying to your post, more just your ott reaction to AJ winning. I just think Wilder beats AJ and have given my reasons over and over again about it. No need to sulk about it, or are you gonna go on a 4 day hiatus again?
I said that Wilder would beat Joshua myself already… I’m not overreacting at Joshua’s performance at all. I’m just stating what I saw. What I saw was Joshua’s best ever KO and the best KO of the year so far. What I saw is a clear disparity between an elite heavyweight in Joshua, and a good heavyweight in Filip Hrgovic.
