Dubois with right attitude could demolish Usyk, what then? Lets talk strategy.

Nobody in this forum ever said Usyk will gonna beat AJ, some even made fun of him and called him a useless mandatory. Now everyone changed their tune and act like he is invincible, all thanks to Fury, the fake champ, ducking him.

What about other heavyweights? What we know so far:
    • Usyk main advantages - stamina, speed, technique, southpaw stance, precision, defense
    • Usyk main disatvantage - no power to k.o. heavyweight, he can be preassured by likes of Chisora
What about AJ - we all know that AJ was not the same fighter, he isnt the beast, he changed his style, he calculates, he has no drive, he has everything - fame, money, belts.....

    • AJ past advantages - power, stamina, precision, technique
    • AJ disatvantage - complacent, spoiled, no drive
What would have happened if AJ hasnt changed his style, was not a champ, and was attacking Usyk with belts for the first time?

Lets get back to the Dubois:
    • Advantages - power, chin
    • Disadvatage - slow, stamina
Usyk know this and will base his strategy as simple as it can be:
    • get him tired
    • outpoint him
Will Dubois play his game, after he saw that AJ got outclassed not once, but 2 times?
    • What if Dubois plays it slow. absorbing punches, letting Usky get comfortable, managing his stamina, waiting for the moment
    • What if Dubois goes all in first 6 rounds, Usyk can run or he can endure, but will he?
    • What if Dubois selectivly goes all in, withouth chase, what if he prepared himslef for this? If Dubois has the stamina to go all in every other round, Usky will be in great trouble.
    My 2 cents

You're assuming Usyk is a typical dumbass boxer. He's not. Dubois has one shot - catch Usyk with a lucky punch. AJ caught him flush a couple of times and he barely blinked, so not even that is a sure thing.

Everybody keeps going back to the Chisora fight. Usyk took Chisoras best for a few rounds and then shut him out the rest of the fight. He'd do the same to Dubois if he tried to roughhouse him.

There's only one HW that can beat Usyk right now and that's Fury because he's 6'9'' and has some skill, but apparently has no heart because he's scared of a 6'3" "middleweight"

If Dubois beats Usyk that says more about Usyk then Dubois.

    It’s not going to happen.

Usyk was understandably cautious with Chisora because Derek has a history of being pretty sneaky uncorking his heaviest shots.

    DuBois employs no such subterfuge.

If Usyk overcommits in the first half of the fight - yes, DuBois could land a gamechanger. Usyk is extremely unlikely to do that because the fight will certainly come to him.

Usyk is like a marathoner who runs negative splits. I just can't see DuBois not drowning in deeper waters against him.

Doesn't really matter what Dubois does, he's far too basic for Usyk. Dubois has a good jab but as Joyce showed it's limited in it's use, he simply uses it to set up his power shots, nothing else. He moves forward and back in straight lines and doesn't move his head, his offence is he defence and if he's forced backwards he's unable to fight off the back foot. He doesn't counter punch either.

Usyk will likely very quickly take control because there really isn't much to figure out with Dubois, his sister is a far more complete fighter. Dubois' only chance is a lucky punch and even then Usyk has shown he can take a hard hitting heavyweights best punches and still remain relatively unfazed so Dubois might not even have a punchers chance.

Usyk wins a wide UD or might even stop him late as the Lerena fight showed Dubois' chin is suspect.

Dubious is worse than AJ but he might do better if he fights with the right mentality and goes after the midget.

Basically, DuBois' only chance is if Usyk gets old overnight. I don't think Usyk is quite there yet.

Not sure DuBois' chinni-ness will be a real factor. I think Usyk will stop him sometime after Rd 9 because Daniel will simply be exhausted by then and will fold up under Usyk's onslaught.

What is it like to be fighting Usyk in the championship rounds?

In his two fights against Usyk, AJ landed 3 out of 130 jabs (!!!) in Rounds 11 and 12. He went 0 for 39 in those rounds in their second fight.

    3/130.

At HW anything can happen plus Usyk is getting old, but I doubt Dubois is the guy to do it. He doesn’t have that Wilder type one hitter quitter

Dubois has to go for broke because he is not going to outbox Usyk. He will need to pressure Usyk to impose his will and power on him. I wish him the best especially as his new trainer is my good friend and deserves to train the heavyweight champion of the world. There are some things I like about Dubois and other things I don’t like. I knew he would lose to Joe Joyce however he cannot show Usyk respect. He needs to fight a big man’s fight. I am not sure the prognosis is good but you just never know. Dubois needs to channel his inner Joe Louis if he can find it.

Dubois needs to stop him in the first 4-5 rounds or he will lose - most likely by stoppage in the later rounds. To pull this off, I think he needs to do something to make Usyk lose his cool & momentarily overcommit. That probably will necessitate a certain amount of ugliness. Maybe a "Holyfield overhand" or two? (i.e. headbutt)

An ugly messy fight of that nature will be good for Dubois.

Highly doubt it. Dubois has all the physical tools to be a future champion, but at the moment he’s still lacking the necessary experience to beat Usyk.

I think Dubois is once again getting rushed too quickly by his handlers.

Usyk is 6'3" and around 221 lbs. Same height and heavier than Ali. He just handled 6'6" Joshua twice and easily handled 6'6" Joyce in the ams.

There is no "right mentality" for Dubois except try not to get knocked out and cash your check.

Go watch that Joyce fight back. Hardly easily. That was a 240 pound green Joyce basically walking defenceless into Usyk. Usyk has no power to keep legit heavyweights honest and when he starts ring circling hiding behnd a guard as he did against Joyce & Chisora he's in big trouble. AJ is a glass jawed bum with no stamina. Although Dubious stamina will look suspect if he goes after Usyk as he should.

problem with Dubious is he looks like a kid in the ring in terms of his boxing. Literally a sitting pawn. Usyk will toy with him. Dubious has only one option and he hasn't got the skills or nuts to go for it and that's bumrush slug it out. It takes skill to jump on an opponent who knows how to use his feet. AJ & Dubious don't have it.
