I mean there's many rank up there: I'm very interested to see what you old timers say as you have had the chance to see more boxers than us younger guys.

But if you're asking me: rjj, Ali, Leonard, Mike Tyson, then I think of: de la Hoya, Camacho,

    What are your picks!?

    P4P:

Single shot exploding in from out of range = RJJ, imo.

Fluid, lightening fast combinations = Floyd Patterson or SRR, imo.

Meldrick Taylor could throw and land triple left hooks. Frighteningly fast.

Mostly it’s the impression of speed. It’s usually who is the shorter puncher.

Roy Jones landed about 5-6 hooks on Bryant Brannon in 1 second, he's up there. Norris would look like he was shoe shining but throwing a fast power combo, Meldrick was lightening as well. SRR, SRL, Camacho, its a tough question!

    P4P Roy.
He had faster hands at 40-45 years old than most of the division.
Especially when you count speed with power and not pitty pat shots.

Can’t really disagree with any of the names mentioned thus far.

To add someone new as far as the thread is concerned, I’ll throw Pac Man into the fray. It’s a lot of fun also to see Manny rat a tat solid punches into the heavy bag as if he was a machine gun.

There is also Joe Louis, particularly when you consider the optimal combination of speed, accuracy, commitment to the punch, maintained speed in combination and the ultimate power at the end of each and every punch. For one example, the famous, lightning fast and sublimely powerful triple left hooks Louis laid on Max Baer are stunning to witness.

It would have to be someone in the lower classes. I like some of the names thus far mentioned in the thread.

As a side note: Joe Louis had incredibly fast hands for a heavyweight.

Everytime someone asks that question…I always visualize Sugar Ray Leonard vs Andy Price
