AJ plc will claim that talks broke down with Wilder. They will seek an alternative for AJ’s next fight which won’t be this year either. As if it needs to be pointed out. AJ only fights these days for the money and only needs to fight once per year because of the eye watering sums he gets paid. Perhaps if he was paid less then we might get him actually facing another live dog before he retires. maybe. Or he might just retire.
AJ will take the fight if presented in January, it’s too much money to turn down. Only Klitschko and Ruiz managed to knock Joshua down with Klitschko he got up and beat. Ruiz to this day I would say was a lucky punch that discombobulated him. So this notion of him him having a suspect chin is unfounded. Wilder has won one fight in the last 3 1/2 years which lasted one round, I don’t see Wilder being ready for Joshua. My opinion is that Joshua stops Wilder within 6 rounds unless Wilder gets rid of the ring rust and has a run out, if he has a run out I still favour Joshua but I think it’s closer to 60/40
fellas where did my thread go about brits doing it on both sides of pond some good discussion n messages in there very confused its gone
This is the heavyweight division, the big fights basically never happen. I'll be surprised if this ever gets made.
Honestly from what I've heard I don't think it happens in January now. They will hide behind the stadium not being finished and are going to push it back to March/April. This opens up end of November/start of December for both to get a warm up fight. Someone who used to work with aj says he isn't happy with the performance and struggled to find his range all night, he agrees sparring isn't going to help that and the only way is to have another fight as he's rusty. I just don't see who it could be.
I'd say DDD but doubt M.R will work with him It's so tricky for AJ ,he needs someone half decent to look good against .. It would not surprise me if Whyte gets cleared and that fight gets rushed through
Whyte if cleared, the one that I think could be made easily and pushed with interest would be hughie fury if he comes back from his "inactivity" that coincidentally lasts the same time as a drugs ban . Just seen fish eyes saying he's heard its off till march aswell.
After DDD, on to the next contender for Usyk while the duckers do what they do best - hide for months and get old.
If AJ obviously doesn't believe it's was just a lucky punch since he terrified of taking a punch ever since it happened
Warren puts DDD in with AJ all day long. It would need George or Francis to do the contracts and Frank would probably have a bad back on the night, but there's no chance they'd let DDD miss out on that payday. And they'd back him with the puncher's chance for sure.
They will be waiting for Wilder to turn 40 or get as close as possible to it, ensuring he's finished and minimal risk before taking the fight - conor Benn style
