Dubious is going to shock the world! Usyk will pull out citing injury Light hitting midget has got away lightly at he fighting bodybuilders and overhand right Derek. Dubious has balls and youth.
Didn't Joshua go for Usyk's body in the second fight. Seemed to remember him landing a few decent shots. Didn't have much effect that we could see but it was part of his gameplan.
What is arrogant about "go to the body because his head is elusive?" What is arrogant about "go to the body because he went down from a body shot and he hasn't gone down from a head shot?" Every fighter has weaknesses. Mauris Briedis came the closest to beating Usyk. (And aguably did.) Usyk isn't unbeatable. Dummies as of late just keep trying to outpoint him.
Well, here is an instance where Beterbiev put Usyk down with a right to the body. Usyk got up and pointed to his hip, like he was hit there, but the punch was legal and clearly hurt. This content is protected And, around the 9:40 mark of this WSB bout with Medzihidov, Usyk again goes down from a right hand body shot (clearly above the belt) and he claims it was a low blow, and was really bothered by it. This content is protected Both happened in the third round of those fights ,.. which, would've been really early in a fight if it would've been scheduled for 12. Usyk recovered quickly both times. But clearly both punches hurt him enough to take a knee and need time to recover. That's probably why he's conscious of keeping his elbows tucked in to his sides so much. Historically, boxers with an iron chin tend to have a soft spot in the body. And boxers who give up the body to protect their chins are doing so because they can take it to the body, but have a bit of glass in the jaw. Usyk is elusive, but the trunk of the body isn't as hard to hit as the head. If you're Dubois, WORK THE BODY. WORK THE BODY. Don't get caught up in trying to score to the head from a distance. You're being a sucker if you do. Wait until he's in close and bending over to protect the body. That's my "arrogant" take.
That's what I heard, but Dubois was too young then, Hrgovic is 5 years older, now the situation would be different...
Didn't AJ already try this in the second fight? Throwing heaps of body shots won't be enough for Dubios.
