Spence vs Crawford turned out to be a mismatch. it wasn't the fight everybody expected. Canelo and Charlo are bigger draws than Crawford and Spence. Canelo and Charlo are just more intriguing. It may not be the fight hardcores were asking for, but it is the bigger more star studded matchup.

Objective!! YOU??? What were you supposed to say when canelo clearly lost to Bivol?? You simply just STFU and rarely posted here for a while. You hid in shame. But you did blame it on Canelo NOT being a LtHW. Even after you once said canelo beat the #1 LtHW in Kov.

The fact that you are giving Jermell some huge chance to win is because you are a canelo fanboy trying to oversell this JrMW v SprMW fight.

You're so far up canelo's ass you can chew his food for him....

Can't disagree with anything. This is a meaningless fight for a guy who fought at Light Heavy (who was chatting about goinng to Cruiser) fighting a dude moving up two divisions.
Canelo would be able to roll out of bed 5 minutes before and just walk through him.
I see my old friend Shadow is conflating to make it seem like it will be competitive and therefore a great win.
Both Charlo's have less boxing IQ than my cat Boris, and he's not interested in boxing.....Boris just like eating and sleeping.

You said he had a path to victory in the initial discussions about the fight.

You felt Canelo clearly won round 9, and should have won the first 4. You also referenced other people giving Canelo rounds 6 and 10.

If since that point you accept it is a loss, and there is no path to victory for Canelo then fair enough, I apologise.

It's not a super fight, and it certainly isn't the biggest fight of the year. Its hard to get hyped for a fight between two fighters who are 2 weight classes apart.

What a **** fight. It is a mismatch. Moving up two weight class. Charlo will shell up as soon as he gets punched.

This is Canelo desperately trying to stay relevant in the PPV war. He needs a named opponent and he wont fight Benavidez. He is also looking hard for a KO win. Last three fights went the distance.

Well maybe Charlo will show something different but going into the fight most folks is just going to consider Charlo another protected PBC fighter that folks shill for that can't really fight. That's basically how all PBC fighters are looked at until they prove otherwise.

In fairness Caleno isn't a great fighter either. He probably should have about 4 more losses on his resume. And even in some of the fights he clearly won he didn't look that great.

I've never not accepted it as a loss. I made it very clear from the beginning that Bivol won. All I was contesting was the idea that it wasn't competitive was a near shutout, not that Canelo had a path to victory.
    Jermell's twin brother fights at 160, Canelo's a small 168 lber.

Also, Jermell and Canelo were fighting in the same division for most of their careers. Both fought early in their careers at welterweight, then fought most of their careers at 154. Canelo's first fight was actually at 140, in his 2nd fight he moved up to Welter. Charlo's been at 154 since 2010. Canelo was at 154 until 2017. Canelo outgrew the division but coming up they were fighting in the same weight classes. So it's not like Canelo's been fighting at much higher weights his whole career or anything. Another thing to keep in mind is that for most of the last decade or more this was always a fight that fans wanted to see.

So if someone said they scored it 7-5 for Canelo. Giving Canelo 1-4, 6,8,10 you'd tell then they're wrong right? That it isn't possible to produce that score objectively?

Canelo left 154 behind 7 years ago. Since then he's unified MW, unified SMW and knocked out a LHW title holder.

No one ever called for this fight in a meaningful way. Jermall Charlo was someone people mooted Alvarez fighting at MW, but that was so long ago and the guy hasn't fought in two years. He's irrelevant now.

Jermell is a career LMW and someone who would be an underdog against the WW champion where they to fight. Canelo is someone people want to see fighting against Benavidez, Bivol or Beterbiev. 3 fighters who would be ridiculed for fighting Charlo or Crawford.

You have no clue what you're talking about. Before Canelo fought Bivol, I predicted that it would be a very difficult fight for Canelo to win and favored Bivol. You're acting like I was picking Canelo to easily beat Bivol or something, which is a complete lie lmao.

Of course I was worried about Canelo moving up to LHW, I thought he should have stayed at 168 as did many people but I admired his willingness to take on the most challenging fight out there.

I'm a Canelo fanboy by rating his opponent and giving his opponent a chance to win? If I was a fanboy I'd be doing what most everyone else is doing and saying how much better Canelo is than Charlo, how easy it will be to beat him. No, I'm being very unbiased and giving Charlo a shot because I know how good he is. And the idea that I'm somehow over rating Charlo to make Canelo look better is absurd, I've rated Jermell for some time, long before a Canelo fight was in the works.

You sound delusional. To act like Jermell Charlo, an Undisputed Champion at 154, who is coming off a fantastic win over Castaño, is some bum who will be easy work for Canelo, is just delusional. I don't have to sell anything. The fight sells itself. You'll see next month. Your disrespect towards Jermell Charlo is aggravating. He's a great Champion and for you and others to trash on Jermell Charlo is pathetic. Jermell is one of the best in the sport, and this is the fight of his life. If this matchup doesn't excite you, you really should find a new sport.

To be fair to everyone he is a PBC fighter. And PBC fighters usually look really bad in big fights against non PBC fighers.

Having said that everyone know Canelo is highly overrated and gets a lot of gift decision and praise not because of skill but because of his following.

So it will be an interesting fight that could go either way.
