For what it’s worth a world title fight last week with a fighter that previously popped had zero additional testing besides the regular commission ones. That’s how often other promoters test. Particularly in America.

For another example Dubois vs Joyce had zero additional testing attached. Likewise Joyce vs Parker.

Crazy that world title fights like Valdez vs Navarette and Okolie vs Light had no additional drug testing. Even Joyce vs Parker, remember a PPV fight, only had UKAD testing. Promoters definitely need to be questioned on this. I think Frank Warren and Ben Shalom don't bother due to the additional cost and that they can't afford for their shows to fall through. It doesn't even have to be VADA testing, there are other, cheaper and less stringent drug testing agencies available.

I'm convinced the reason matchroom used testing was to ensure the opponents weren't on anything and they'd found a way to deal with fails privately.

 

There's a common theme occuring with these boxers and their positive tests

Boxer:
"I would never cheat"
"My previous two tests were all negative"
"I'm going to do everything I can to clear my name"

Promotor:
"They need to go through the process now"
"They need to be given a fair hearing"

Essentially all that ends up happening is legal back and fors, mudslinging from the boxer's legal team, strangulation of the board and then ultimately it's all hush hush until it fizzles out or in Con Bent's instance, he finds some kind of loophole to exploit.

Make no mistake about it though. These cuunts are all cheating and on PED's
