Good opening round from Chapman. I often find female fights difficult to score because the action is so scrappy. The Brazilian looks decent though. I did like Chapman’s bodywork.

Furtado steps into the pocket and Chapman floors the Brazilian. Just before the knockdown Chapman had a cut above her left eye.

By the way the cut was caused by a clash of heads. Chapman looks a lot better technically than the Brazilian who is more of a brawler coming forward with a high guard. Very scrappy so far.

Chapman hurts Furtado on the ropes with about a minute to go. It will surely be a points win for Chapman.

There are still 3 fights to go. Garner will surely go the distance. Collins will probably stop Raza Hamza. It will be a long night.

You missed 2 prospects of Queensberry. They didn’t look great to be honest. Umar Khan won 58-56 and Khalid Ali who was knocked down in round 5 just about managed to win 58-57.

Closer cards than I expected. I thought Chapman outboxed Furtado who didn’t land much clean.

I’d like to see Chapman against Skye Nicholson, but that would never happen due to promotional differences. I don’t think Chapman beats Serrano in my opinion.

 

Round 1: Garner 10-9

Garner starts the round on the front foot. Antunez is a career featherweight and this bout is at super-featherweight. Both men are throwing a lot and looking to land. Garner is clearly the more well-schooled fighter. Good opener from Garner.
