You have to be a particular kind of special to take such vid seriously.

Is that necessary? It’s a video highlighting some fouls committed by Evander, he’s a dirty fighter a lot of guys are but he’s a pretty blatant offender- so? what part of it makes the OP “special” (which is an ugly
Term) for taking it seriously? It’s simple content, this is Holyfield fouling
    which happened a lot.

I haven’t watched the whole video but the general jist is that they’re showing Holyfield fouling Mike? Do you disagree that he did foul Mike?

Not necessary. Quite unnecessary in fact.

Half of it is Holyfield shoulder bumping to off-balance Tyson, ducking preemptively against hooks and overhands (main cause of accidental head clashes, especially since Mike had it in his style to go low as well) and not-so-low blows, with at least one example being literally a hit above the belt, or a bad camera angle. Cherry on top is caption such as: "Holyfield is looking at the cut," or "Holyfield's left hand shows no intention of hitting Tyson's head, instead being a false punch that makes the headbutt look accidental." Paraphrasing here. Tyson is the Alexander, and the Charlemagne, except when Holyfield reminds everybody Mike cannot fight inside to save his life. Duran, Whitaker, Norton, Frazier, Walcott, Quarry: every boxer utilizing the inside game will look to off-balance and place his head on an opponent's shoulder. A degree of physical contact is unavoidable.

That being said, Holyfield was prone to head clashes and the likes of Rahman looked grotesque post-fight. I mentioned Evander as an example of a worse "head-first" offender while discussing whether Armstrong's style was dirty or not. Still, there is a difference between pointing at Holyfield's tendency to lead with his head (you can duck without an inside entry/and or with your gloves up to mitigate the more brutal head collisions), and framing their encounter as Holyfield being Zivic-like fouling mastermind and Tyson as the victim.

Evander could match Conteh with his head at times. As proven here. Mike should have tried his 'arm break' manoeuvre a bit more. The video also shows Holy about to administer another battering. Good stuff.

The King interview the next day, which went something like: "the headbutts and the headbutts and the headbutts and the headbutts" still makes me laugh.

Yeah Evander fouled plenty, against a fighter that made a career out of hitting on the break, using elbows, low blows, hitting after the bell etc.

I don’t think anything you’re saying is weird or strange. I don’t disagree with a lot of it and if I did have certain points yours wouldn’t be crazy, some might consider it insightful depending on their knowledge.

However my gripe is perhaps reserve calling people “special” or trying to take the superior tone when you could have put together your thoughts on the matter like you just did. What do you get out of potentially calling people names? Couldn’t you get a lot more out of trying to build a forum where everyone is on a similar page and you might also learn something?

Edit: I didn’t see OP write “Rip Holyfield fans” so perhaps OP has a little coming to him lol.

What of it? I get your meaning and it’s fine I’ve only just recently as of today decided to not be so short with people. Here and across general life I’ve been prone to getting irritated and dismissive very quickly and I’d just like to work on it.
