In an alternate timeline, Wilder fights Ali in the rumble in the jungle. And Wilder probably wouldn't punch himself out like Foreman.

Ali wasn't as big as Fury, so he wouldn't be able to lean on Wilder and use his size to wear him down.

Kinshasha Ali is similar to FOTC Frazier , Joe Louis/Schmeling 2/ and Tokyo Douglas. Factor that in.

This incarnation of Ali is still too dangerous for Wilder and he does n't possess Foreman's ability to cut off the ring. I can only see a tko for Muhammad here.

Look, as much as I think we all think Ali gets the job done and rightly so, I m will at least give Wilder the credit of being one of the hardest hitters of all time.

Hypothetically in 100 fights he would probably spark Ali’s lights out at least once, but it’s hard to imagine a way of him beating someone on Ali’s level without landing a ‘lucky’ punch

Wilder couldn't bully or limit Ali to the rope-a-dope IMO, Foreman's physicality was a big part in why Ali had to do the rope-a-dope in the first place. Wilder doesn't present that challenge, and it's actually quite likely that Ali is the stronger man.

Ali was still formidable enough to beat Wilder, and he had the legs to get it done. Ali decision or late TKO

I think ^^^^ is the best answer. I would like to add a couple of small things. Ali is my favorite fighter and he certainly has what it takes to beat Wilder. However, in the above-mentioned 100 fights, I do think Wilder manages to nail 1974 more than once or twice. I can see him winning 10 to 15 times. Also, specifically related to Wilder, it would not be a lucky punch, Hitting guys really hard is what Wilder does very well.
