How will he go up from 147lbs to 168lbs to fight Canelo, that’s an increase of 21lbs. Will he have to clear out a few buffet houses in Omaha?

Who says he has to go up 21 lbs? He doesn't have to weigh 168 lbs at the weigh-in. He could come in well below the limit to retain his speed and quickness.

When Sugar Ray Robinson moved up from Middleweight to Light Heavyweight to take on Joey Maxim, SRR only weighed 157 lbs while Maxim weighed 173 lbs in a LHW match. And SRR despite giving away 16 lbs to Maxim dominated the fight until he collapsed from exhaustion after the 13th round in over 100 degree heat at Yankee Stadium. Bud could do something similar to what SRR did vs Maxim come in light and use his speed.

    He'd come in around 162-164.

Terry weighing ''in the 60s-70s'' here so it's safe to say in the late 160s. Look at how lean he looks at that weight. Very lean. He looks no different to how he looks in the ring at 147

Clenelo weighs 178-180 in the ring at 175 and very likely exactly the same at 168

    Do the math

Terry weighing what he weighs there (assuming he's in the late 160s and not in the 170s) and I suspect that's close to his fight weight at 147, weighs 10-12lbs max less than Clenelo

Obviously Clenelo is naturally the bigger man and bigger in the ring but the weight difference in the ring would be 10lbs max, assuming Terry doesn't bulk up more which he very likely would. I can tell you that there are certain ''hype jobs'' who are routinely giving away at least that much and often significantly more and huge amounts of reach too. You feel me?

I think there's no way Terry would come in below 170 and he would be a very lean 170 too.

Many struggle to grasp the fact that with these 24 hour, or even 36 hours in some instances, weigh ins we have fighters campaigning in a division or two below who are the same size as ones campaigning one or two above.

Or even bigger ones campaigning in even more divisions below who aren't near as small in terms of weight in relation to fighters three division higher as most think they are and when these fighters move up in weight to become multi-weight champions they're either still bigger than their opponents at their second weight or at worst they're roughly the same weight as their opponents at their third and fourth weights even though many of their opponents are career fighters at those weights.

And they're praised to high heaven for doing so like they're giant killers while other multi-weight champions who are tiny for the weight when they move up and are giving away huge physical advantages that those fighters never have or ever are

They're doing two very different things

Y’all tripping saying he finna come in at 150lbs or something lol, Canelo stops him with the first punch. Needs to come in as close to 168 as possible to have a chance

There is no way he does that. Unless he gets on the goodies.

    A

Exactly correct. Bud won't have to drain himself for this fight like he has to do to make 147. His game plan will certainly involve using his superior speed, movement and amazing jab. I could see him shutting out Canelo in a similar fashion as Bivol did and one thing is for sure, he will not be standing in front of him and trading so who gives a **** how heavy he will be on fight night.

No doubt Bud has watched closely the performances or Bivol and Lara against Canelo. This is NOT an unwinnable fight for Bud.

The help Roy Jones used to fight John Ruiz.

On topic. Though it’s probably not likely, Crawford should at least move up and fight Tszyu at 154, if he can fit in a fight with the Lara/Danny winner to further add to legacy and allow him to time to bulk closer to 168. If he can take those two fights, Canelo might even take the fight, as things stand right now I don’t see it.

He’d probably come in somewhere in the low 160s. Step on the scale fully dressed and still make 168.

It's a fact that Crawford walks around as a cruiserweight.
