Canelo fought on an even level with a dominant great middleweight champ in GGG, losing clearly in the first fight and running it much closer on the 2nd fight, then getting favorable decisions. That led to all his future successes. Canelo's only clear win over GGG was the trilogy fight, and that was 8-4 or 7-5.

This is going to trigger quite a few people, but... personally I think Canelo's win over the version of John Ryder that he fought, is better than Crawford's win over Spence.

Canelo NEVER EVER gave GGG a 100% fair fight as you just proved Everyone & his dog knows canelo had the judges & the commission backing him in Vegas. The only time he got a rightful decision loss in Vegas was to Dmitry Bivol who barely won a round, but even then the judges had I as a very close fight ROFL. Even Vegas judges couldn't stretch it that far as to give Ginger a draw 118-110 was my score & I had to bend over backward to find those two. YourHero got EXPOSED!!!!!!!!!!

Style wise, John Ryder is basically a Super Middleweight version of Spence, with a far better chin. So it was literally like beating a not shot heavier handed stronger version of Spence.

His performances against GG weren't anything special, though...

That's what tends to happen when you're in against an evenly matched opponent. Which is why Bud looked quite human against Porter. Against Spence, not so much, part of that is based on styles, the rest is because Spence was a walking corpse fight night.

Did Crawford receive gift decisions against GGG twice? Arguably Lara? Lost to Bivol and Floyd?

And don't tell me all of Lara, GGG, Bivol, and Floyd are all better than prime undefeated Spence, Gamboa, Postol, Mean Machine or better than Dulorme, Jean, Burns, Brook, and Porter? I know you will say theyre all bad - because youre a butthurt hater - but Terrence beat the best versions of aforementioned undefeated fighters and Canelo took many losses.

Yeah, I'll take Bud over Canelo.
