The PBC nuthugger butthurt is getting sad now. Crawford proved to be head and shoulders above the best Uncle Al has to offer, no matter how many times his goons bang their heads against the brick wall. And I agree, Crawford is not on the same level as a Canelo, he’s a superior and more complete fighter.
Has Bud ever fought anyone even remotely on the same level as GGG, Floyd, Lara or Bivol? Absolutely not.
Sure, he's got a hate hard on for Bud now that he beat his boy Spence, but other than that, what's pathetic about this thread? Bud is nowhere close to being on Canelo's level in terms of resume and as far as skills are concerned, Bud has the edge slightly, but Canelo has the edge in chin, toughness and defense. This version of Canelo does a number on Bud, at 168 and 160.
i thought it was winnable over a year ago, you mean to tell me crawford just now thinks its winnable? GTFOH. Canelo vs crawford is next. They just putting it out there for people to talk.
I know you love Bud, and we're probably never going to see eye to eye, but you've got to admit. Bud has never fought anything close to the murderer's row of opponents that Canelo has. So when you step up in class, of course the matches are going to be closer and you might win a few sketchy decisions. But we're talking about GGG, Bivol, Floyd, Lara and prime Trout here, who should have wins over both of the Charlo sisters. Spence would lose to all of the above and Bud would struggle like he's never struggled before if they're at the same weight against all of them.
YDKSAB. Canelo is a ped and A-side cherrypicker. Why didn't he unify 160 after being gifted two robberies against GGG? If they were the same size I don't doubt Bud would do something similar to what Bivol did to him, as Canelo's greatest strength is his chin, which allows him to win gifts. Canelo may very well beat him as a heavier fighter more accustomed to the weight, but on a p4p sense Bud is way above. Not #1 but 2 or 3.
How does a person have the nerve to use Canelo's GGG wins? Their first fight is clearly one of the most blatant and important robberies of the last 20 years. It gave Canelo a free 160 belt that gave him A-side status on his future fights. It also took away GGG's opportunity to become undisputed and one of MW's best champions. You are Ellerbe.
Let's see how he performs at 154 and 160 before jumping the gun. For the record, I'm a long time Canelo hater, but I think people have let their hatred of him cloud their judgment. Great, he lost to Floyd, who's ever beaten him? He got gifts against GGG, but GGG is levels above anyone Spence and Crawford have on their resumes. Bivol is massive... no big deal. Lara and Trout are both top tier slick southpaws who are nightmares for everyone. What opponent has Bud fought that bring to the table what any of them brought to the table?
This post makes me happy. It blew my mind that people wrote Canelo off after moving up to 175 and fighting another p4p talent and taking an L… they ***** about the guy taking a well earned tune-up here and there, then slog him for taking on an extreme challenge and coming up short…. His trilogy with GGG alone is enough to show how great of a fighter he is. After a shaky close fight in the first fight, the way he came into the second fight with a completely different style against another elite fighter was impressive… Was embarrassing seeing the GGG fans who said GGG won the first fight based on pressure also won the second fight based off his jab when Canelo was pressing him…. I know it’s off topic but I want to clarify - I felt the first fight was very close and was a toss up, but I felt Canelo clearly won the rematch in a close competitive bout. I don’t necessarily agree the Canelo is clearly better than Bud - I just think Bud hasn’t had the fights to really prove it (unfortunately Spence clearly wasn’t packing a full clip on the night for whatever reason - taking nothing away from Bud)
