Welllll now that you mention it… he really is a better inside fighter then Joe Frazier, it also didn’t even define his style :nusenuse:

I thought the same thing I did a few double takes on the list before I noticed him. Maybe it’s because we were expecting him to be higher?

Definitely. What I like most about Arguello is how he wove infighting into his style. It didn't feel like some other tall Infighters like Paul Williams or Raul Perez, etc. There wasn't the feeling that he was going out of his way to be there when he didn't have to be.

I love how he often weaved in after throwing his cross. Even when he missed, the way he'd so nonchalantly stoop down and bring his head to the left of his opponents' was - as was everything Arguello did - was so graceful. And my favourite of his exit methods was the pinpoint left hook he brought in as he pulled back. Iirc, he did the most often in the Escalara rematch.

Arguello was such an awesome fighter.

Mayweather is up there too even if it wasn't his primary mode.

I think Qawi would be on my list his defense for an aggressive fighter was one of the best of all time IMO.

He was a very good infighter, but I don't think he's good enough to match the very best. He was however, the best of 2000s by some distance.

I agree after watching the Judah and Canelo fights last week, his infighting stood out to me as very impressive. His reputation does not indicate this, but the footage certainly does

I feel like Fenech, Qawi and maybe 2 or 3 other guys are better inside fighters than Marciano. It has been awhile since I've watch Marciano so that might be the reason I'm not rating him as highly as I should.

Honestly Marciano was pretty sweet I think those guys stood out because infighting just wasn’t up to scratch at mass in the 80s-90s IMO.

starting at 17:50 minutes in there is a good example of inside fighting, I'm not sure if Mayweather has ever fought like that

I don't think anyone is trying to say that Mayweather is better than the greatest inside fighter of all time. They're just saying that he belongs in a discussion about the top 10 inside fighters.
